Is it odd to basically start completely ignoring everyone you live with after first getting a job? I just got a job a few weeks ago. Even though its only 2 days a week I've gotten into the habit of ignoring everyone/thing at home after work (I don't think I'm as bad on days I don't work) & locking myself away in my room. Its obviously getting on my parents' nerves.

That's all I want to to do after getting home from work.

After dealing with customers and my co-workers all day, who wants to deal with anyone else afterwards?

ditto. I always need at least thirty minutes to rejuvenate the batteries.

No, I'm the odd one out as usual lol. Last summer I used to come in from the fields and be ready to work on my ex-girlfriend's car with her and go to dinner - often times with my dad as well.

Yes. Even though I had a commute time of 30 minutes, when I came home I always need at least a half-hour of not being bother to just "chill" lol

I'm the same. The only social event I would attend after a work day is watching a movie or a sports game with friends. There, I can just be quiet and not worry too much abut social navigation.

Why do your parents get annoyed? Are you not sharing meals with them?
