Is there such thing as supported employment, where you can be looked after during working? Preferably actual proper jobs, in normal situations, but with support on top from an external source (not social services or the NHS, have never had any help from either for AS).

Or self-employment where support can be supplied? I have tried self employment before but I cannot manage the stress and being on my own unsupported, not knowing what to do and the confusion. Support might make self employment possible without me ending up in hospital again.

I have a local autism supported employment service. I also have an adviser from before my diagnosis for mental health issues (depression).
If there is not an autism one, you would be covered by disability organisations such as the Shaw trust, or even Remploy.
They will offer advice, help on CVs, interviews and jobsearch, and may talk to an employer on your behalf.

You can secure interviews through the two tick scheme if you meet criteria. If you get the job you can work on a trial basis to prove that you can do the job. They will know different schemes such as these.

Shaw trust and Remploy are workfare farms I'm having nothing to do with those.

Since my diagnosis I've been enquiring about wage subsidies or an in-work advocate, but after two years I've not received any help.

I've never had any help either, NHS or elsewhere, just harassment or neglect, never actual help.

Is there actually any way to get supported employment?
