Well I've been thinking about leaving my current job, as I'm starting to get bored of it and I don't do to well at the administrative tasks that have been dumped on me (person left and boss delegated tasks to remaining employees instead of hiring someone new) and my boss is a little stubborn and uptight, though apparently he likes my work. Odd thing is it took me a year to get this job (first full time job, after college), so I didn't know how long it would take to get another.. but then the first job I interviewed for a few weeks ago, I was given an offer a few days ago.. well that was much faster this time. I told the prospective boss to give me time to think about it - should I accept the offer? The pay is the same, with a slight chance that I can negotiate a slightly higher rate than I currently get (the title is exactly the same as my present position, in the same university system). The work seems slightly more interesting, but is largely the same stuff as I do know (scientific research). The main difference is that I will have to move. The upside is that I won't live with my parents, which can get stressful with my super-NT mother yelling all the time and not getting AS at all. I guess the only downside is the cost and the adjustment. I've moved I think 11 times (I'm 25), so moving has been getting annoying. And rent runs at least $800/month. I can find a place farther away from work, but another of the reasons I want to get a new job is because my current commute is about 1 hr 15 mins and I've always been used to living 5-10 mins away from school, and my previous part time jobs.
