A government agency is holding an info session in a ~50 person lecture room today? Is this something I'm supposed to dress up for or can I wear my day clothes. I never know with these things.

The only time I ever went to one of those was for a CIA recruiter. Everyone was pretty much dressed somewhere in the middle. No suits and ties, no t-shirts and shorts.

is such a large informatical meeting, i think 'smart casual' or 'business casual' are the best options; i personally would go for smart over business in this case.

wikipedia has some onformation on that those styes mean, but mainly, smart casual is jeans with a nice shirt, nad business casual is dress pants with a shirt.
