Today I was in a security company searching job actually i was there before to give me resume and letter of application, I was initially accepted I was send to doctor of occupational medicine the doctor said yes, issued the relevant certificate. This company in which I want to hire, security services on an outsourcing to various companies, Mrs. from the Department of recruitment said that I will start work as they find the right customer, it may take from one to two weeks. When that happens, I'll have to visit the police station to set my so-called "certificate of good conduct" is compulsory in Poland when someone want to take to work especially when someone want work as security guard like me. Certificate of good conduct, proves that I have never been arrested for serious crime and I'm not listed in convicted register This is not problem for me because i'm good boy :D
I wonder does in other countries has similar regulation?

I wonder if there will be someone who has worked as a security guard, and how such work look like?

PS. I'm a believing Christian Catholic ,I ask all Christians, regardless of denomination to pray for me in intention of getting work assignment., these who unbelieving, can just keep your fingers crossed for me. :-)

When I read the title I immediately lamented my poor Photoshop skills.

Good luck to you, OP.

I did it for a while....hated it....but my employer wasn't that great.

Depending on the job site and customer needs, you might have a lot to do (walking about, checking things, etc.) or you could be stuck in a booth at a gate for 8 hours. Be sure to know what is and is not "on the clock" diversions because if you get a very dull posting, you will be fighting boredom, and that could mean fighting the inclination to doze off while on the job. I was at my best when I had to do my "rounds," and I preferred to be about walking on the property rather than sit in a booth with nothing to do until the next assigned patrol with the verification clock.

I will say that if you can be assigned to different sites and projects, if you find the duties assigned at one place too boring to keep you engaged, try asking for reassignment to a site with more to do during the shift so you aren't fighting boredom for the whole time. Some are okay to sit on a chair in a booth with nothing better to do. Others are not okay with that.

If you don't like people, you could probably get a job as a night time guard but yeah, just make sure you know what your allowed to do and not do.

I think Security Guard is a very good way to have "A Job" until you can get something better. If I look in the job paper, I'm always seeing Armed, and Unarmed guard jobs available, even you just need to watch a building. I need to actually go get my "Guard Card". It's usually a State Issued card that you take a class or two for and pay the fee. With this, I could just have an interim job and at least some kind of employment.
I say this, because many one here are frustrated that they can't get ANY job. Security is ALWAYS needed!!

Why can I can only think of a gourd with a cop uniform painted onto it?
