I have Asperger's and I'm a dropout. I'm considering going to job corps, since I'm nearly twenty-one and I cannot get any job. How is it for Aspies? It sounds torturous to me.

I've heard some good things, I've heard some bad things.

It depends, I believe, on the nature of the particular Job Corps site. Sometimes, you could be with a bunch of cool people; sometimes, it could be like being in the army or summer camps--you have a bunch of dickheads who just want to goof off and who target people for bullying--especially those who want to work hard and better themselves.

There are some tough kids from bad environments who wind up in Job Corps because a court mandated it.

You should try to read testimonials from people who have actually experienced Job Corps.

In sum, it could be a good thing; it could be a bad thing (especially for Aspies)>
