What are the consequences of getting fired from a no call/ no show? I put in my written two weeks' notice two days ago, but the work schedules between my old job and my new job overlap too much, and I can only call out if I get someone to cover my shift. This worked for this week, but the upcoming week I have three days double-booked, even though I submitted a change of availability request weeks ago. I don't really want to deal with my old job anymore, and if I don't show up I can actually have a day off this week. But I don't want to suffer later for my unprofessional behavior. Advice?

Do stick with your current job as per your 2 weeks notice, and be sure to thank your current supervisor/boss. Leave on a good note, then take your next job. Having a good reference is so important and will last forever. Even if it might be inconvenient to stay these last few days, make every effort to complete your current job with a good finish. btw, congrats on your new job.
