I sympathize with you. My son always has a tough time at the beginning of the school year and then by mid-year, settles down and does ok. The tantrums and melt-downs at the beginning are really difficult to deal with though.
I recently wrote a post about some things we do to make his transition a little easier....maybe you can find something helpful in it. Good luck!
