Definitely, you should home school him.

Skool, was/is a living hell for all of us. Its probably close to 100%. For most of us, skool was the worse period of our lives.

No one ever solved the bullying problem. Ever.

I really cannot tell you what to do when it comes to education of your son. I will instead tell you a very short story of my own experience.
I have AS, aswell as my son. But when I was 12 I also had big problems in school and I got bullied to much. I was really an easy target. But the thing is, when I was 12 I started to practise martial arts (karate). It was just so great for me. I began to develop more confidence, which helped me in school. I loved karate beacuse it was an individual sport, you didn't had to work together like soccer or basketball.. etc.
My son is now 10 and he has been practising jiujitsu for 1½ year, it really helps him the same way as it helped me.

Bullying is serious. My niece nearly died because of bullying. I survived, but the ptsd and depression finally got the best of me. Bullying is abuse. Most kids, never mind ASD kids, can't deal with bullying on their own. The rational thing to do in situations like this is run. I would run from people with bats, wouldn't you? It doesn't matter if the child was actually hit with a bat or not, the threat would be traumatic.
