I would ask the Ed Psych what they are able to do, and if they say they can't diagnose, or not do so without a team, ask what the next step is and where you are in the process.

Update: After the disaterous appt which made me want to give up I have now got back on track and am feeling better about the situation. We have an appt with the GP to get us back in at CAMHs who were happy to ref us onto the next stage so that should happen early next year. Then we might actually get a proper assessment and be heading in the right direction for a diagnosis.
The school have been great they have immediately jumped on it with gusto and set up a great plan to help DD5 at home and at school. They are drafting up a letter for the Drs before they have even requested the info and they have asked if I would read through it before they send it.... perfect! :)
