24 month old doesn't like "people" figures in cars

Is it possible that he doesn't like the feel of something that isn't attached rattling around in his toy? My son hates to have something in a toy wagon or anything because he says it makes it "feel wrong". He is eight and very articulate. He is just now adjusting to Lego people because they attach firmly. Just a guess.

I never played "right" as a kid. My former head cheerleader mother made sure I had every barbie doll made. I gave them the names of my classmates, and played hospital. I had play dough and fabric and made casts for broken ankles and legs and casts with slings for broken arms, even fashioned a passable cervical collar out of play dough and a scrap of paper. My mother was horrified. But not near as much as when she caught me playing Monopoly by myself as 4 different players. Which I still do occasionally.

I know as a mother you want your child to be the best that they can. But what you have to remember is that however bizarre what he is doing may seem to you it makes absolutely perfect sense to him. Much more sense than what you want him to do.

Ha!, I used to do this, but only as two players, people could never understand how I could and not cheat, I would however play each role as best as I could just so I could be pleased if I was the winner.

I played a few chess games that way. Your brain does eventually start to melt.
