My son started high school this year. He loves it!! !!
He got 94.5 on his science test.. I was so happy when he told me that I cried.
This is not the kind of mark he got in elementary school. I kept telling him he was smart and his comment was that I had to tell him that because i was his mom. He is starting to realize that he is smart now...
LOVE IT!! !!
He is aspie and 14 years old

That's awesome! So happy for you and your son. Why don't you have a celebration dinner for him with his favorite foods and watch his favorite movie together or something. That would make it even more special for him.

Being a proud mama feels so good! Congratulations!

boy I so know that feeling. My older son has very strong ADHD and he's 14 too and in 9th grade. He is so smart, but his grades have been a disaster with his forgetfulness and disorganization, but something clicked and he's doing much better this year too. Feels good doesn't it? Celebrate these successes with him - they lead to future successes!

A celebration dinner... Ooh. I should eat something at some point today. It's already 7pm!
But that's hijacking your thread :P

Congrats. To him too. And I mean it.
HighSchool can be a hazardous place for the concentration of an Aspie mind, and if he's managed to find enough peace to do good on tests, I give him high kudos (that's like high five only better). Keep praising him, keep doing the good job raising him. And by all means, take out the baby pictures - erm, I mean 90+% tests - and embarass his arse off when gramma and grampa come over.

(Just don't do it around cousins or peers! :P)
