Hey - biting, hitting, etc, in kindergarten are behaviors to expect from any kid, not just one with AS. The experience is really stressful, and all kids at that age have impulse-control issues to one degree or another. I completely understand your worry, though - I was panicked about hitting (which had been a problem at preschool and at home) when DS was in kindergarten - but when it happened, you're right, it wasn't that big of a deal.
We started having trouble later on (DS wasn't diagnosed properly until 4th grade, and nothing from the school until the end of 1st) as the other kids developed impulse control normally and DS did not - however, with a diagnosis and the school working with you, you are way ahead of where we were.
