So, a psychologist was in the classroom observing DS today as part of a determination for eligibility for services. When I asked the psych how it went he told me an interesting thing DS did. DS didn't want to join the other kids on the rug for a reading lesson as usual so he went to his space place. However, there was a student teacher in the room as well and she was recording the lesson on her iPad. When DS saw the iPad, he came out of his space place and happily sat at the table with her and watched the whole lesson on the iPad. I just had to laugh when I heard this. I guess its classic autistic behavior, he'd rather watch the lesson on the computer than pay attention the the human being in the room talking!

I think it is cute!

My son would have tried to make her let him play video games on it. :)

I think one on one next to an adult is different then being next to a bunch of other squirmy kids. It makes it easier to focus, too, I bet.
