Hi, just wondering if there is any connection between autism/ADHD and nose bleeds? Seen a few threads online about it and it seems a lot of people on the spectrum have nose bleeds. Some people have suggested they coincide with melt downs and seem to be a release of pressure.

My DD5 seems to have them quite a bit, but Ive never thought of a connection before. Anyone else have any thoughts? :)

I have frequent nose bleeds. I've been having quite a few lately. Fortunately, not very big ones, just small ones, like just dripping blood. I do get heavier ones every now and then.

My son doesn't have nose bleeds but my NT nephews do and so did my NT brother (one of my nephews father) when he was younger. I haven't seen any correlation.

Frankly, I agree.

The two most common causes of nosebleeding is nose picking and rapid growth, or at least, my parents once told me rapid growth causes nose bleeds.

Apparently, chronic nose bleeds (if the nose canal has not been irritated) is a way a body is trying to rid of toxins. Same with chronic bed-wetting. The bladder will not hold toxic urin so it will "release" it more frequently. Toxins escape via menstrual cycles too, which is why some women experience bad PMS symptoms.

It's common for people in the spectrum to have high levels of toxins in their bodies, and for various reasons.
