Just curious. There is an appalling shortage of resources out there for NLD, even though many legit aspies have it as a co-morbid, because, apparently, the geeky version of Asperger's is just "cooler." I'm curious if anyone has tried anything that has worked with kids or adults.

M son is only 4 so this might not apply for an adult, but a lot of the PBS and Nick Jr shows deal with social and emotional well being. Luckily he likes them. We have seen him pick on some cues, especially when we watch it with him and re-enforce it. He has now learned to ask someone if they are okay when they cry. He even asks in a really caring way. A few months ago, someone had a boo boo and his goal was to hit them (not hard) then we got him down to touching them, and now he is able to ask if they re okay. He also has learned all the appropriate times to say please and thank you.

My son also has a communication delay but he has an incredible memory.

My son has NLVD and ADHD. I use strategies for AS and ADHD when helping him. It seems to work. Is there something in particular that you are working on?
