Just so you know, I wasn't yelling-just too tired to turn off caps lock. Caleb is such a wonderful little guy that I would really not like for him to be schizophrenic( obviously) I am retired from 30 years on a psychiatric unit and pray to God that Caleb will not have to experience the symptoms of schizophrenia. I have read that inability to separate dreams from reality is a symptom of major psychosis (pre). I am looking for some feedback from others who have an aspergers child. Paul

Childhood schizophrenia is very rare, as I'm sure you were aware on the psych ward. I haven't heard anything about this being a feature of ASD. I think it's probably a good idea to get a psychological/neurological evaluation done to make sure it's nothing. If it is a psychotic disorder, it's possible that early readiness for it could make a big difference. If your kid is just typical and a good storyteller, then it's probably better to know that now so you can sleep easy.
