Hi there! I have a 6 year old boy who is on the spectrum and all he eats everyday is chicken popcorn and strawberries and sometimes I give him pizza too. But I guess sometimes he gets tired of eating the same thing everyday. Is there anyone who knows any programs on how to introduce different foods to an autistic child? Thanks in advance!

You don't need a program per se but rather just offer various foods all throughout the day. Don't allow yourself to become upset or angry if the food isn't tried or touched. Encourage exploration through foods of various tasted, textures, colors and the like. It took years for my now 8 year old son to try new foods beyond his coveted six but once he did the world was wide open to possibilities. Know that it will take time and sometimes certain foods are okay while other times they're not, always allow for change. Enjoy the journey.
