I was told by my daughter and son’s DDS Coordinator and my HR director that they can be covered on my health insurance for the lifetime that I am working.

I have two adult children on the spectrum. My daughter is 25 and working part time and her goal is to work full time. My son is 23 and in college in an autism program. Both are covered for my health insurance (Have letters saying so) and my dental insurance (I have a letter stating for my daughter due to her disability/Son for being a student).
When I went to have his dental insurance approval signed at his college, admissions told me he is considered part time. He was denied benefits due to being a part time student, and I sent the disabled dependent paperwork, signed by the doctor and a letter from DDS, which was listed as rules on the website.

He was denied again stating that he needs an award letter from SSI/SSDI. He is not on SSI/SSDI as he is learning social skills/career building. I now have a new DDS Coordinator and HR director (One retired one quit) and the new ones told me they don’t know what to do).

My daughter has impacted wisdom teeth surgery in two weeks. The dental insurance just sent me a letter stating she is no longer on my dental insurance due to it “Being a mistake” that she was approved years ago (I have a letter stating she can be on my dental insurance for the life of my employment). I called my HR director who said she is new and she doesn’t know what to do. I then called the Massachusetts division of insurance and was told “Things have changed” but could not elaborate what the change was. She said if I have a letter stating she is covered, I MIGHT be able to be “grandfathered in.” Please help! What can I do? We tried to put my son on Masshealth but was denied as they go by "household Income" and said I make too much.

Health insurance can make things extremely overly complicated because they want excuses not to spend money to make a bigger profit.
When I turned 21 I was dropped from my parents health insurance because I was not a student. I had never had a job at that point & was on SSI. My mom called her health insurance & tried explaining my situation. They said due to their rules they would not be able cover me unless I was in college or if my parents placed me in an adult guardianship with them. My mom had health insurance through her job that also covered my dad. I had Medicaid since I was on SSI but no doctors in our area accepted Louisiana Medicaid. Mom signed me up for my own individual health insurance plan which cost about half my full SSI amount & then had copays & deductibles. I'm afraid you might have to sign your two adults kids up for their own individual health insurance plans & then pay the highway robbery princes :(
