We have new neighbors. The parents seem ADHD - both seem ADHD. They are so fun!

They have two girls. One is dx with Aspergers age 12. The other girl is two years older dx with ADHD. They are wonderful. The girl with Aspergers doesn't "appear" to be on the spectrum at all but people also say that about Nate when they first meet him. They are wonderful people. Our other neighbors have a girl with Prader Willi syndrome. That person really functions like she is on the spectrum, too. It's a small world. The neighbors across the street really believe their girl, age 20 has Aspergers. She is in school to become and engineer. I think the guy has it. Really small world!

That's very cool that you have so many people in your neighborhood who are either on or "near" the spectrum!

I'm always surprised by how many people you suddenly become friends with you once you have a child on the spectrum, or are recently diagnosed. At one point, we had five families in our congregation with kids on the spectrum. Then, at my son's middle school, he seems to have found ALL the guys on the spectrum who are in his grade, and they all sit together. Some are diagnosed, some are just kids that I suspect are somewhere on the spectrum, but viola! they seem to find each other!
