I really don't. As a parent drowned in the immediate needs of my kids, the idea of taking time out for such a thing has never occurred to me. I do spend a lot of time reading on the internet, the flexibility of it suits my schedule, and I've found places like this full of insights the professionals don't seem to really have. Most professionals aren't INSIDE the head's of those with AS, but when someone who actually IS AS posts, you get that information, what things are really like for them. I do get good information from the OT and speech therapists assigned to my son, but it can be difficult for me to get past the professional language and benchmarks into something that applies in daily living.
