I just meant that I have foud that the joystick for my 64 controler moves around when I shake it and it doesn't respond aswell as it should, and whether others also have this problem.

Well I am going to play some more 64 as I have finally finished all of my tests for the year, and I have something to help me play the very complicated Majora's Mask, that is the internet.

I have beaten Ocerina of Time only once. The player's guide said Ganondorf is the toughest boss to beat but I actually found him easy. You just need to have good accuracy and have blue potion in all your bottles in case you keep missing. To me the game is just too long and I lose interest after beating it once. The shortest Zelda game I ever played was Link's Awakening. I am sure the 8 bit Zelda games were short too since they didn't have much in them.

I also have a Nintendo 64 in my room. I moved it in there when I was rearranging things and moved my other games in there too.

And actually 40 bucks is cheap on ebay for a game system that came with OOT, memory card and two controllers. Five bucks more, so what.

I've got one gathering dust. It's got Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and Waverace64, some of the best multi-player games ever made. Sadly, no one I know has time for gaming anymore :-P

That's not how the used videogame market works, though ;)

Ocarina of Time for N64 is just more desirable than most games on offer for the Dreamcast.

So unless your Dreamcast game is Samba de Amigo and the two controllers are maracas, I'd say his lot outpricing your lot sounds pretty realistic to me.

samba de amigo: what is that crap.

maracas would look so stupid as controllers.

Oot has: unfair bosses, horrible controls, long boring dungeons, polygon ugly graphics, and story that makes no sense. 3\10 to me. conkers bad fur day had better graphics and it was on the same console. but to be honest i never liked either game.

have you ever played a dreamcast? or seen the graphics on the games? it had ps2 graphics at ps1 technology. the game shenmue is a perfect example of what this console can do, mine came with sonic adventure 2, way better game imo.

the only reason people like oot is cause they grew up with it, and became biased towards it. like i'm biased towards xenosaga and was outraged that xenoblade does not carry on the story further. thank god that abomination was only released in japan, cause i would buy it just for target practice. xenoblade follows xenogears *chokes* that game is decades old and xenosaga is not an 80 hour game crammed in to 4 hours.

sure xenosaga is spread across 3 games but it's never rushed and easily understandable unlike your Oot whacko story line, in fact nothing about LoZ makes sense. even twilight princess though i enjoyed it it made almost no sense to me i just played it for fun i guess.

Yes, I own a Dreamcast.

Having games with good graphics does not ramp up console prices on the used market ;) Look at the XBox for instance (the original one), they're dirt cheap on eBay.

Your opinion on the game does not effect the price, either. For example, almost anything developed by Square sells for big bucks, only because it says "Square" on it. Even their extra bad games do.

We're veering off topic here, though.

Why are you being deliberately argumentative and offensive?

There are lots of things going on in the world worth being angry about and video games definitely aren't one of them. Trying to turn video games into a source of anger and resentment is very sad; they are meant to be fun.

i'm angry about the treatment i get online, so being that i am angry which basicly means i am suffering, i want to make others angry online so they can suffer and i can be happy.

this was never about video games, it's just the topic has n64 in it, and i just feel like 40 bucks for a 1st gen system just seems a bit to much it shouldn't matter what game it has, the question should be what condition the system is in. is it mint condition, does it have scratches, and stuff like that. my dreamcast wasn't perfect it had been used alot and shows it that's probably the reason it was cheap.

i also for a long time have hated fads, zelda the overhyped sacred cow of a series is just one of those fads i absolutely hate, and since i have played the game i can honestly say i'm not sure why it is loved like that. other fads i hate is the xbox and 360, halo, hundai [that crappy car company] american idol and everything that goes with it, reality shows, kia, online games, facebook, and other fads like them.

I'm sorry you are angry about the way people treat you online, but not everyone online is responsible for that and being angry at people who aren't responsible will quite likely result in annoying innocent people who will then be angry at you which will probably just make you feel even more unhappy at the way you get treated.

Essentially what you're saying is people liking things you don't like makes you angry, and the more people that like it the more angry you are. Having different opinions and tastes to other people is a fact of life, and also one of the things that makes life interesting when people accept it, and so I think it is something you should learn to live with otherwise you will spend a lot of your life being angry and therefore unhappy.

I haven't played any of the N64 Zelda games, or any N64 games at all really, but I know a lot of people genuinely like them and I was under the impression that the N64 was the underdog and less mainstream system because the PS1 came out at the same time and, if I remember correctly, blew it out of the water. I played, and beat, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on the SNES when I was a kid and absolutely adored it. It's probably the game that made me fall in love with adventure and RPG games. I would like to get an N64 one day because I love cartridge-based systems. I bought a Game Boy Micro off eBay the other day so I am looking forward to getting that.

actually the dreamcast which was made at that time was the underdog n64 was under ps1 but still dreamcast was basicly shafted which is evident by sega going under and being bought by nintendo.

the main thing i hate about fads the most is well i'll use xbox as an example. forza 3 came out a few years ago for xbox, forza itself has only been there just recently i believe, meanwhile gran turismo has been there since ps1, so they have loads more experince in the racing simulation games. but when gt5 came out it got so much hate it was sickening to me and the majority of the hate was coming from the people who were in bed with forza 3 and xbox.

same with the xbox itself ps1 and n64 had been there for years competing with to me no real clear winner then along came xbox and basicly became the system everyone wanted over night and i thus stole the fame the sony and nintendo were struggling for. it makes me so sick, i mean doesn't microsoft make enough money on computers alone, they had no reason to do that, sony and nintendo were just fine before that abomination came along.

to be simple i hate these brand new companies that gain fame overnight, and never put any effort into it. when everyone else has. same thing with all the people off idol, except for daughtry. the idol singers clearly can't sing i can tell them apart from the real country artists no matter what. none of them ever struggled like the judds reba and martina mcbride. i may not be right but i'm sure wynonna came from nothing and worked hard to become the star she is now, and then some idol star who can bearly sing stands up on a stage a few times butchers other people's songs and get's fame overnight. it's disgusting to me.

OK, that's a fair point but we seem to have taken this thread completely off-topic.

To the OP and anyone who's interested here is a good list of good N64 games: http://vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com/wiki/Nintendo_64

a few games i'd recomend are goldeneye and kirby 64, those were the games i enjoyed the most growing up, and maybe monster truck madness 64 if you like driving around in oversized overpowered trucks. king of the hill is the best multi player mini game on that, i personaly always played as grave digger.

and to be honest i was a huge fan of nintendo back in the day.

another game would be starwars racer, even if you don't like starwars you might like it if you love to race at high speeds hovering just 6 inches off the ground. the game gives you a great sense of speed. i loved it and i never watched starwars.

also super smash bros, that's the one game i feel you can't not own if you have that system. imo

also about starwars racer all the podracers are all uniqiue and can be extremely touchy or never respond, and the controls are very sensitive so if you get it start with gasdono [can't spell] he has a large green pod racer with engines that are flat in front and round in back, he turns slowly which is key to efectively learning the podracer and adapting to the controls, if you chose a small one right from the get go you'll most like be smashing into every wall on the turns. trust me on this i've played this game a long time i played it on my n64 the pc and project 64 the emulator with the keyboard, generic pc controllers, ps3 controllers, and now i got my xbox 360 controler. it has a moderate learning curve but you should pick it up was gasdono pretty easily.

but these are just suggestions. and to be prefectly honest i kinda wish i still had my n64, the emulator is decent, but it's just not as good you know.

as for games in general for the most part don't listen to most of the hype out there, and if your looking at reviews don't go by offical reviews look at the player reviews i tend to find those more helpful but that's just me.

I only played Oot (on emulator) recently, in fact only defeated Ganon yesterday, and I found it to be a really fantastic game. :D

i'm glad you enjoy it, i suck at games like that, i got stuck on the dude in zora's zone, the boss that you have to chase and somehow fling the boomerang at his butt while avoiding the spiked walls. i got that far and after getting thrashed many times by him, or getting spiked nearly to death. that game was lucky i didn't use it as target practice. by the way i had the gamecube version. just out of curiosity how the bloody crap do you beat him. cause i swear i couldn't stay locked on, shoot the boomerang, run, and avoid the spikes at the same time.

i swear i won't go off topic anymore after this, i just need to know or it will drive me crazy.

if anything just pm with answer before i get banned here.

I have that problem on one of my controllers, the one that came with my console. The best way to recalibrate it is when the game is just firing up, hold the stick in the middle of the controller. Leave it there until you need it. That will make it respond better.

I am absolutely in love with my Micro. Though the battery doesn't hold a charge for as long as it used to, it kind of makes me sad

Speaking of Dreamcast, I got a third VMU yesterday 8) I can finally play Shenmue!

Plus I got a third controller, a second rumble pack, and a crappy MadCatz controller that I'll probably end up modding or something. Though I'm kind of nervous, because I hear that third party controllers will blow a fuse in the DC.
