Oh yeah... to snake... My build has a fail safe. Since my strength is going to be 8 and my guns will be 100, I have the ability to pack a light machine gun for when encounters get much too close to snipe. Haha I don't run when I'm attacked unless it's a deathclaw. Also with the perks I choose I get very frequent critical hits even without sniping so it makes those too close encounters much easier when they die faster than normal :P

I would really appreciate it! I had no choice but to start again so decided to head to Helios One so I can get to level fifteen and then progress to where I was faster but I'll make another character and then go down that route too. As for critical hits, do you have better Criticals? That is a godsend when you use a sneak attack as it makes it almost impossible for them to survive.

Thanks fir the silver rush tip. I've not explored the strip yet but will definitely check that out. Also, I read on OPC that you can make alot of money taking everything out of the lucky 38 casino and since there is no humans there you don't need to sneak. I don't know how much you'll make but it's worth checking out.

To Snake... My new build is working toward better criticals but I can't get it til level 16 I think. I'm almost to level 12 now. I will post my build in 2 to 3 days as I should be level 20 by then... I won't be home to play tomorrow is why. Thanks for telling me the name of the implant location... I was able to search it on google and found out where to go and now I have 7 strength :) It may be a long post but I'll even include my skill #s on the skills I leveled the most.

Erm... my game is being weird. On my approach to Nellis the George dude told me about the missile zone. I payed the wager and he booked it toward the death zone... um... is this a wacky wasteland thing or is this a bug? I got pissed and shot him in the back... netting me 727 caps... 300 of which was mine... but I felt annoyed about having to kill him to keep him from setting off the missile barrage because he wasn't a bad guy >_<

Edit: btw Silver rush is in Freeside near the atomic wrangler... the Freeside with the gate to the strip :)

Thaws is excellent. I'd really appreciate it and will post my current one swell so there'll be afew here if anybody else wants some ideas for builds. Truly however there is no rush so you an take as long as you want, I will certainly not complain.

As for Wild Wasteland, if you encounter one of the fifteen events you'll be shown a picture of a man with (I've explained this badly so I'll post a link to the events after) curly eyes with the comment "..." in the top right corner and alien themed music will play. For more information: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Wild_Wasteland but based on what you've said I dont think it was one but I could be wrong.

As long as he's not involved in a quest it doesn't make too much difference that you killed him. It just means more XP for you :P.

As for it being in freeside, damn lol. Shows how much I've been in and around new Vegas xD

I think it was a glitch. I've had the weird symbol show up in the beginning of the game for some reason although I have no Idea what happened. This seemed weird though because he just said he'd stay there and watch and then he started booking it toward the death zone. I already knew how to pass the rocket field and I got more than double my money back and 50xp so I guess it wasn't all that bad... just bugs me that the game bugged. Also I've noticed items slipping under ground on occasion. Ive dropped stuff in the lucky 38's presidential suite and saw it slowly fall through the floor and I tried to go back for a unique weapon just for the heck of it... and it was flat out not there. There's a shack near the george guy not too far down the hill that had a unique BB gun (Yeah I don't care that much that it's not there). I'm guessing since it was found on the floor in my previous game that it slid through or the game might just not have loaded properly. I wonder if I should delete my game data and reinstall it. I have a ps3 so it sounds like a pain because this game has to install so deleting it would take 30 minutes to re-install. I may try it... that fixes some games.

When the symbol came up at the start was it after a man requested you to save his girlfriend? If so it's because (going off my memory) there was a named corpse there, five aces and four red balls lined up on the edge of the cliff. I was told it was a reference to a game or film but I forgot the name of it.

Unlucky about the glitches though. That's the main reason I picked up the 360 version over the ps3 one as fallout 3 was the same. There is a patch for the 360 so a PS3 version should be incoming (if it's not already available) that helps with done bugs. I really dont recommend deleting the game data though. Obsidian and Bethesda games are not known for their polish and I don't believe reinstalling it will make much difference. Unique weapons not appearin is concerning however. What you could do is make a few saves and then head for the weapons you'll use. If they aren't there, reload and try again and hopefully they'll be there this time. This way there wont be so long for them to et stuck under the floor and hopefully you'll be able to get them with no hassle.

Also, make sure you've killed everyone near any unique weapons. If an npc has no weapon they'll pick up any weapons nearby including the unique ones. What may have happened is an npc got involved in a fight and took the weapon in which case you'll just need to search for the body.

Edit: I just want to apologise for my poor grammar and spelling. I'm typing off my phone and I'm fairly tired so I hope it's not too annoying/hard to read.

Yeah it was the part with the guys girlfriend in the intro. I seriously hope that isn't the humor of all of the wacky wasteland perk though... I didn't notice that as being anything odd. I saw it but the reference didn't click with me so I was just scratching my head in confusion of why the symbol appeared and left :?

My favorite known about unique weapons were there. I think somebody might have taken the BB gun... I think somebody maybe lives around there, but it's in a tiny shack with no hostiles so I don't know why they'd take it. My only other guess was it slipped through the floor but I'm not positive.

Okay I'm just going to say this now... Fallout New Vegas is my top favorite exploratory RPG... for me being fairly critical of games that's a massive compliment :) The underwater environment in lake Mead is beautiful. I love underwater and they took some time here... I even just found a hidden grotto :P. You definitely need the re-breather to enjoy the water scenery but it's really nice. The re-breather is acquired an optional side task for the Volare quest in Nellis... it's a very nice looking mask too... kinda sith 8)

This game has topped Morrowind in my oppinion... and that was my favorite of the type for all time for about 7 years.

Now if I only had a harpoon gun those damn lake lurks wouldn't pose as such an annoyance

I'm spending alot of time thieving right now. I just cleaned out Nellis of everything worth stealing... I'm guessing that's well over 10K of caps... maybe near 15 or 20K if you count the gun cabinets which have random stuff but usually have well sustained combat armor in them which is usually worth over 2000caps. Also I learned that it is very easy to take things with preparation. Like you can stack a bunch of tiny crates in the view of the observer you are stealing from with pressing the right stick and moving them in front of their vision... if it's possible. Another thieving tip I found is to use the right stick on the item you want and then drag it to where someone can't see you and then grab it. This is definitely not like Oblivion where if you accidentally grab something you're chased out of town... It's pretty silly but that's more caps for me and everyone who reads this :D

Okay so I just found 3 packages of C-4 in a Mine toward the North East end of the map and wondered why they are worth 1000 caps a piece. I'm leveling up explosives as my secondary weapon choice from guns (Sniper + Landmines) so I was able to test the stuff out. First off it does nothing without a detonator so I bought one from the boomers... C-4 is awesome. The blast radius is massive and it seems to be high impact because armored foes die with it where as they don't get phased by my land mines.

...so with my new toy and clicky-gun I found something awesome really quick. You can do the psychotic prankster thing (reverse pickpocketing a bomb) with C-4 and it doesn't arm itself. I did this to a person in a group of people. Then from way far away I pulled the trigger and it sploded everyone there. C-4 is awesome! I should have done this to Benny

Of course I reloaded my game afterward... I wouldn't want to waste the bomb

Finished the game last night for the NCR. So I started a second play-through where I'm independent and want power obviously. Installed a few mods that lets you select perks every level too. Turned off hardcore after getting the pointless achievement. However, I am still playing it on "Very Hard" to keep the challenge up + fun. Going for a stealth character with melee and one handed weapons.

Heh I'm no longer playing on hardcore either after my first go solely because I couldn't stand watching my ammo weight. I kinda miss the in depth survival stuff though so I try to make the game like Hardcore sorta by only using stims when there are no enemies present... and I don't sleep in beds if I'm injured.

I'm currently hunting Carzadors right now because I find them to be the toughest enemies to fight with a sniper rifle and they are worth 50xp each and travel in bulk in the North east section of the map. I've only been hunting them a short while and have leveled up twice in a incredibly accelerated rate compared to trying to do quests... and of course I shoot bighorn whenever I see em cuz they are worth the same xp for some reason :? I don't understand the leveling though. I get 50xp per Carz but in the quests most enemies only net between 5 and 20xp even if they are tough. I have ran into a Legendary Carzador in a cave and it only gave me 50xp as well so challenge doesn't seem to be a factor in leveling the xp... especially when a bighorn gives you the same :(

A tip for snipers is you can sometimes get an easy no scope shot by entering vats and then exiting and immediately firing your rifle. It seems to work on anything that isn't side strafing. It works on Carzadors too... but only maybe half the time since they move around so erratically.

This is a tip that at least works on PS3 since that's what I'm playing NV on... but anyways, If you're playing on hardcore and need to stock up on ammo or need to pawn off all your junk but don't want to have to wait a few days using up valuable resources to stay alive... there seems to be a way around waiting. It's a pain but I found that if I bought or sold stuff and then saved my game and returned to the dash and then re-entered the game that the store would be restocked and the money pool replenished. I only figured this out cuz I was changing my resolutions to see if there was a major difference between 1080p and 720p. On PS3 having a monitor of 1080p doesn't matter if the game only supports 720p (Like NV)... you have to set the game to 720p or the system switches to 480i in game. I didn't notice a whole lot of a difference in the change really so the game still looks good on a crap resolution I guess :)

NV seems to have a secondary save feature or some sort of system running behind the scenes. I noticed shops will only replenish if you wait for a couple days in front of a shop keeper and you can only reload the auto save once to change the selection or the stock reverts to the previous sold out selection. Rather annoying  This can be avoided by re-launching the game I guess :P

Edit: Either the new update voids this trick from working or the shop has to be in process of changing right before the save or something because it isn't working for me anymore :(

Still having fun modding the hell outta the game since player content adds more interesting stuff anyways. (On PC where Modding is fun!)

I'm already compiling a list of mods to use for my next game. :D

I'm still working a few sidequests.
Finished Veronica's quests and pretty made the BoS an enemy. Oh well. At least I got some of their armor. (Still want a Gauss rifle)
Going around with Boone now and just cleaning up a few places. Vault 3 cleared out nice and easy now. Thinking about taking out the Legion camp at Cottonwood now. Planning to sneak in and put C-4 on everyone and then storm in with Boone after everyone blows up.
After that, I'll probably go to Red Rock Canyon and deal with the Great Khans.
I'm hoping to wrap up my playthrough on Wednesday.
Oh, yeah I did find one of the Ranger Vets at Hoover.

Found the implant doctor. :) Bought the regeneration and DT upgrades. Although I don't think the regeneration was worth it. I might do a strength boost later on to help my gun skills.

Edit: Another bug to mention as well... Motor-Rotor's Helmet is stuck in my inventory even through the quest is over. Just thought I'd throw that out there. (It can probably be removed through the console)

I hope I'm not asking something obvious, but how do I get power armor training? I found a really awesome unique power armor helm called Remnants Power Helmet and it looks really neat on the floor  ... but I'd like to wear it on my head. It's pretty nice with a DT of 7 (It's also Light class armor) and looks like an enclaveish gas mask type helm. It doesn't look like the enclave helms from F3 but it looks very bug like... it's neat enough to want power armor training. I finished the quests in BHOS in my last game and they never blatantly offered the training if they did... does anybody know how? I'd really like to know :(

Edit: I'm asking here instead of looking for a guide or answers on google because I just want a simple answer. I don't want a guide to tell me everything about the game while I'm searching for the answer ruining the game for me... I only use guides on games I don't like... or games that require one
