I am absolutely in love with my Micro. Though the battery doesn't hold a charge for as long as it used to, it kind of makes me sad

You can get new batteries from various places. I'm not sure how good the third-party ones are but they seem to be more prolific than the official ones. They seem pretty easy to replace as long as you have a small enough screwdriver to remove the battery compartment.

Plus I got a third controller, a second rumble pack, and a crappy MadCatz controller that I'll probably end up modding or something. Though I'm kind of nervous, because I hear that third party controllers will blow a fuse in the DC.

That myth has been perpetuated on every console imaginable. It's not true. The third party controllers do suck, but they don't screw up your system.

I guess, but eventually those will all die as well =/ That's one thing I like about the original GBA, I don't think we'll ever have to worry about AA batteries becoming obsolete.

Sorry, I get a little pessemistic sometimes... ¬_¬

It may or may not be a myth, I've seen a lot of websites showing you how to replace the fuse...

But either way, I don't yet have any decent six button controllers to mod it with. At least not any that I'm not already using for my Genesis.

i'm glad you enjoy it, i suck at games like that, i got stuck on the dude in zora's zone, the boss that you have to chase and somehow fling the boomerang at his butt while avoiding the spiked walls. i got that far and after getting thrashed many times by him, or getting spiked nearly to death. that game was lucky i didn't use it as target practice. by the way i had the gamecube version. just out of curiosity how the bloody crap do you beat him. cause i swear i couldn't stay locked on, shoot the boomerang, run, and avoid the spikes at the same time.

i swear i won't go off topic anymore after this, i just need to know or it will drive me crazy.

if anything just pm with answer before i get banned here.

You mean that giant octopus? He is a little tricky. Basically you have to run around, while running stay as close to the inner spike wall as possible. You may get nicked a few times, but it's the only way to catch up to him. Finally when you see Navi highlight him in yellow, hold down Z and tap the C button your boomerang is assigned to, as fast as you can. The way the Z targeting system works, as long as you're still locked just throwing the boomerang randomly will hit it. Afterwards slash with sword. Also, if the inner wall starts spinning the opposite direction, turn around. You always want to be traveling the opposite direction of the inner wall's spin, otherwise you'll end up in it's mouth for big damage. I would also pack some bottled items for health, at this stage a bottle of Lon-Lon Milk will probably be enough.

It should also be noted that you can get a headstart on this boss by turning around immediately and hitting him in the face with the boomerang. It doesn't matter where you hit him, he still gets stunned.

With that said, I go through Zelda marathons every year in the winter time. I've beaten Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask at least once per year for the last five years, not to mention countless times when I was younger and the game just came out. None of the bosses are really "difficult" to me, though I'll openly admit that they got easier as the series went on(Wind Waker has, to me, some of the easiest bosses ever to appear in a video game).

Also, one of the biggest reasons Sega failed was due to its poor marketing strategies. Sony fell into a similar trap at the beginning of the PS3 campaign.

I have to say kudos to you for your purchase its definitely worth it. I have all my nintendo console from NES to the Wii set up in my games room at home. Emulators are good but there is something wonderful about playing with the original system and controllers that emulators just cant match. I finished Ocarina of Time in 56 hours which at the time of release was faster than the official nintendo magazine staffs completion time of 60 hours and that was four of them playing it. I have all the Zelda games and its probably the reason that I only stick with Nintendo, its the one franchise alone that can convince me to buy a nintendo system. Excellent
