back when i was a kid, my friends and i had a disagreement on the affects of crunch.

Until the end of your next turn, if an attack damages the Defending Pokémon (after applying Weakness and Resistance), that attack does 20 more damage to the Defending Pokémon.

i think it means i just keep adding 20 to it in tell i cant attack for 2 turns or die. so i hit for 50, than 70, than 90, and so on, unless i am unable to attack for 2 turns it would keep stacking.

another thought it was 50 70 50 70, and the end next of turn was a hard reset,

and another just thought it was 50 end of story.

It would be 30, 50, 50, 50... The base stays the same and its effect doesn't stack for multiple turns which is why it says "until the end of your next turn."

first, its very poorly written and vague. 2, i think the first attack would get the 20. and it doesn't say it doesn't stack. just says does 20 more damage, which could mean 20 more from the last one, , and the until the end of next turn, could be when it resets. or mean have to do it again by the next turn, or you'll lose the buff.

It doesn't stack because it can't stack. The buff ends at the end of your next turn, to regain it the attack must be used again (dealing 50 damage, 20 more than the base.)
It also specifies that the 20 is done after weakness and resistance is applied, meaning it is an additional 20 no matter what it would be beforehand.

but, i still think the first crunch does 50 not 30

The damage is dealt before the effect is applied.
