I had one years ago but my mom gave it to my not so well off cousins. I found the jungle green one, all working parts and a memory card and the works, along with Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, for 40 dollars on ebay.

Anyone here ever beat that game? I remember playing it in the late 90s and being so frustrated with it. I also didn't have the strategy guide at the time.

I'm not much for the new video games, but the graphics on 64 bring me to a different world inside...almost the feeling of being love...maybe even better. I joked with my brother "Why can't the world look like the settings in Super Mario 64 and Zelda?" He said "There are places like that, just not where we live."

I played it nonstop, but I never beat it. I made it as far as his aging, and then it was "stolen." (I think my ex sold it while I was out of town . . .)

I'd love to get one again just for that game.

I have a 64 in my room and 24 games for it, just not Ocarina (I was never interested enough in it to drop $20 for the expansion pack so I could drop another $25 on the game). The 64 is a beautiful system; I've dropped at least $100 on it and regret nothing. Enjoy it dude.

I beat Zelda:OoT when I was about 7 or so, after having the game for about two years. Of course, I had the guide though. Pretty much any boss in any of the Zelda games has a specific sequence of actions you have to perform to deal damage. For example, when it comes to Ganondorf during the endgame for OoT, you have to play "ping pong" with him using your sword when he throws that energy ball at you. After he gets hit by it, shoot him with a Light Arrow, then again with the Hookshot after he sinks to the ground, this will get you in close where you can whale on him with your sword before shooting your Hookshot into one of the corner areas to escape. Repeat until dead. Oh, and if he uses that scattershot spell that takes forever to charge, charge a Spin Attack to reflect back all of the shots.

Hopefully there are no adverse effects, but so far so good.

I decided to whip out my N64 yesterday to play some games, instead of playing OoT I instead decide to play Majora's Mask which I had started a game some time ago and thought that I might aswell play some more. Well the graphics of my N64 are a lot worse then I remembered, I actually thought something was wrong when I managed to finally get a chanel, I also managed to get through the first temple while knowing what I was doing.

A good thing to check out for fans of Ocarina of Time is a little series on Youtube called Legend of Zelda Abridged by adamwestslapdog.

Just a question but how do you find your joysticks, I have found that my controlers' joysticks are pretty loose.

Do you mean finding replacement joysticks on eBay or something else?

and... that game means nothing to me, the dreamcast is far more rare and far more advanced then the n64 could ever be have you seen the difference in graphics. generaly speaking the dreamcast because of the fact that they don't make em anymore and being a rare find should have been more expensive then the n64 and mine basicly had all the same stuff yours did 2 controllers 1 memory card and game.

basicly you overpayed for that and i got mine pretty darn cheap.

by the way i owned an n64 and i played oot and i hated that game with a passion.

besisdes what the console is sold with should not factor in to the worth of the console.

in other words i wouldn't pay that much for a outdated system even if it had star wars racer or any other game cause the popularity of a game should not change worth.

end rant
