Guild Wars 2 is still in early development, with new information coming out slowly but what's been revealed looks very promising. Aside from the in-game visuals (which look stunning) the features (dungeons, PvP, solo play and classes) look very rounded.
As a long-term WoW player who's been gradually getting bored with the game I'm really looking forward to GW2 coming out. Naturally this could very well be one of many MMO's that fail to dethrone WoW but I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. Primarily the PvP aspect seems much more balanced than anything else I've seen and experienced.

What are your thoughts on GW2?

^^ Yaye greetings Lecks. I believe that Guild Wars 2 appears very magical, including the happy system within which one does not require to form a party manually with other lovely players, yet they may help one another freely if they come across an event. (I am very sorry if this is incorrect of me however). Also, I believe this may be very magical for me to play as a kitty.

I really like the overall game, especially the dynamic events and the whole mechanism of combining moves.

I want to get it but like the current trilogy I have, I just hope its not going to go too fairytale or kiddy.

I'm bumping this since there's been so much new info about the game lately. Anyone else still wanting to play this?
The Digital pre-order gets you a 3 day headstart when the game comes out, which is nice.

Here's a good info-dump post with lots of links to various info about the game and it's systems. Personally, the main selling points for me are the sidekicking system, the Personal Story, dynamic events, and all the ways you can customize your character's appearance. Oh, and the lack of a monthly fee! :)

Ever since I quit WoW 2 years ago I've been a MMORPG nomad; I hope GW2 will be fun enough for me that I can stick with it for a while. I like the Charr and their background the most, and I'm really looking forward to playing one.

Guild Wars was one of my MMO obsessions. I will absolutely be playing GW2.
