Anyone else here play Blacklight: Retribution? I'm kind of interested in playing a game with people I 'know' for once.

For those who don't know what Blacklight: Retribution is: It's a free-to-play PC-exclusive sci-fi FPS developed on the Unreal Engine 3 by Zombie Studios and published by Perfect World.

The biggest feature is probably the level of customization available to players. You can customize many, many different aspects of your character's armor and weapons with unlocks purchased by spending points earned for killing opponents and completing gameplay objectives. The maps are nicely detailed, and the gameplay is pretty fast-paced, keeping you on your toes. The different game modes provide a nice variety, too, if you get tired of the bog-standard team deathmatch and capture the flag.

It's pretty fun, all in all. If you're interested, I'd certainly suggest giving it a try, at least if you're into FPS games. I mean, it is free, after all... You've got nothing to lose but maybe a little bit of time.

I will try it eventually. Right now I am using my PC for other things unfortunately, but in time I suspect I will at least try it out. Hopefully, it isn't as Pay to Win as I heard in recent and reputable reviews when I begin playing.

Yeah, I think the most recent fix/update/patch fixed a lot of the balance issues between free gear and paid gear, but I'm not sure.
