Just bought it!! ! Patching as I type! OMG so excited! Just wanted to know if anyone around has been enjoying the Beta, and what you like about it. Bad things too!

Edit: Hm it appears some people have 5 or so hrs to go until beta begins.

Update: It lags on my PC, so I guess I will use my time I would have used in GW2 on life stuff instead.

But what I saw for the few hours I played was a beautiful and large open world area, easy boss monsters, a lot of social events popping up in a lot of places, and easy to learn gaming mechanics.

It's 60 dollars then free forever. Way better than all of the poser "Free to plays" which really just find ways to get you to pay for them anyways.

Was a disappointing beta weekend for me, ran like absolute garbage on my i5-2500k, GTX 460 SE with 8 gigs of ram. Made the most beautiful female elementalist, very cute.

I actually like it. But saddened by the fact I could not make a sylvari. Performance was good but laggy due to 100+ people on my screen. Once I move away from that area, it ran smoothly.

System i used:
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
Radeon HD 6870
8 Gigs Ram

Here's my elementalist:

I was kind of disappointed by the dye options available in creation. No black and there was no golden yellow. I initially wanted to make a male elementalist or guardian who's attire was fashioned after the Thousand Sons from WH40k..but no. I just went with gray because it looked most natural and not garish. I wish the game had a boob slider too, a bit too big for me.

I also wish they had more hair choices. Lol. A boob slider.

I really don't know why mmo's don't go with this. Do you think every girl who plays an mmo wants to have giant D-cup boobs? That's like assuming every dude wants to be a big roided out Hulk of a man. Oh wait, I know why, because the internet would laugh too much and consider it pandering to guys because they could crank up the slider all the way.

Perfect World has a boob slider, just saying.

Also, it's just a beta. GW2 people seem to be listening very closely to people's suggestions and criticisms right now, so there will probably be much more options available to everyone at the official release and after.

Loved the game, despite the amount of bugs/lags/technical troubles. I've already decided that I'm going to give the game a serious try when it comes out, as I absolutely adore the WvWvW concept, and it surely gives a much brighter impression than what I have of the siege system from Age of Conan. I will be playing on Far Shiverpeaks together with most of the other Scandinavians.

I've really been considering it. Seems like they've really done a good job making it mroe and more interesting with everything they are adding (especially the multiplayer combos).

For anyone that's played both this beta and SWTOR, how would you compare them in terms of hardware requirements?

Guild wars 2 is more system requirements demanding then SWTOR. However, GW2 looks absolutely amazing compared to SWTOR in terms of textures.
