I'm addicted to this game...it's an MMO with pretty spaceships :P The people playing it are kind of brutal though, but I've gotten used to it. Do any of you here know about this game?

Very harsh indeed! On my trial in June I got butt hurt that I got podded while mission running. And then the same guy shot me down not even 10 minutes later (I was a very stupid noob, I went into low sec thinking I'd be fine haha). After the second time I couldn't help but laugh. It's thanks to that guy for making me realize the harshness of the game and coming to accept it. Now I think nothing of it when I get podded. But, I'm currently staying away from low/null sec and wormholes because I've got some implants that I'm too lazy to replace haha So I'm technically a carebear for now. I don't have the skills for pvp yet. I can only fit a decent myrmidon. Seeing as how you've been a part of the game for so long, you've probably got some mad skills in pvp. Did you go down the dark path and become a gate camper? haha I figure that's what happens after being in the game for so long, eventually people turn to the dark side it seems. Would you say that's the case?

Gate camping is for losers who don't know how to PVP.

Exploration is my thing and I use wormholes to get to 0.0 space, where you can go weeks without seeing anyone else, and hit radar sites. They can be pretty rough. After a couple of months I return to high sec. Got a secure station box with lots of goodies in it.

I think I am roughly at 56 million SP.

As for turning to the so-called dark side, there are two ways to look at it. You can see it as a game where destruction of other players' ships is the name of the game (pretty much the case) or you can see that destruction of your ship by others is the name of the game and hence work at not being destroyed. Yes there are killmail addicts who kill everything that moves for no reason. Heck had a gang jump me once in a T1 ship and half of them left because they were afraid of being the one that got popped perchance I trained my guns on taking one with me. So worried about their "kill death ratio" (K/D) they ran off. That's how pathetic these so-called "leet" PVPers are.

There are some good people in the game and even on the dark side you will find some good gamesmen. It's all a game, just that both sides of the gank and ganked equation have a wide spectrum of people.

Haven't been on in a while. Had a guy and a girl account. Mostly went around in my little Ibis despite having millions and millions of Isk. Just enjoyed watching everything happen and making fun of the big bads while nicking their loot :)

Gotta laugh at all the people trying to be Internet tough guys in that game.

I'm currently at a little under 5,900,000 skill points right now. I just got a stealth bomber a couple days ago and have the covert ops cloaking device II fitted. I'm thinking of soon learning how to go and get those people in null sec that always put out those annoying warp bubbles haha I'm a miner though as my main profession since I've made good money with it so far. I guess I'll be seeing the game in both of the ways you described SickInDaHead. I've got to keep away from the suicide gankers while mining, but I also want to go out there and get back at the “bad” guys haha..As for exploring, I'm going to be doing more of that once I have more skills. I loved going into wormhole space the few times I did. It was very thrilling, and of course ended in me getting shot down haha
