Looking for game suggestions

Probably gonna return Metal Gear Rising soon, as it was shorter than I expected and I don't see it having a lot of replayability. Kind of the same with Killer is Dead except I enjoy it a lot more for things like its' style and music and I feel I'd miss it more, and I'm not sure how much it's price would have gone down by now. I know I'd definitely trade in Lollipop Chainsaw but I'm sure I'd get next to nothing for it.

So I suppose I am a bit limited to how much store credit I can get from Gamestop. If I get everything back for MGR, that'll at least be $30. I guess it doesn't matter much though.

Anyway, I'm pretty much just looking for either Wii or Xbox 360 games, as it seems they hardly carry older games anymore, even online. Wanted to get Paper Mario 2 again but haven't had enough money or credit until they ran out of em.

So I would prefer either RPGs or really any kind of longer single player game(more than 20 or 30 hours, though I doubt there are many that go beyond that). The only other thing is I don't generally like horror games, so none of those. I've considered a few, like Dark Souls, though even though I'd like more of a challenge, I'm not sure I'd like a game where I absolutely can't make it to the end. Have also though about Super Mario Galaxy 2, but it seems near similar enough to the first one that I wouldn't be missing out on much. Kirby's Return to Dream Land looked cool but nothing new there either. Xenoblade seemed nice when I'd borrowed it, but still seems pretty expensive. I looked up the prices of two other Wii RPGs - I think they were called The Last Story and Pandora's Tower? Might be wrong. Can anyone tell me more about them? Are they action or turn based?

Beyond Two Souls. i really am liking this game. lots of fun exploring things, great action sequences...and plenty of scares.

while that is a great suggestion, the OP specifically asked for Wii & Xbox 360 games and Beyond: Two Souls is PS3 exclusive....I look forward to playing it myself eventually, though.

Even if I had a PS3, I probably wouldn't get it. I've seen enough of David Cage's other games to know all they've got is bad gameplay, bad voice acting, and bad storytelling(which is pretty much the meat of them). I can't really see why people enjoy them so much?

As for the other suggestions, I'll look into them, so thanks. I completely forgot about Far Cry 3. Haven't played the first two but it seems I wouldn't need to to be able to enjoy it. But do you need to have the game to be able to play Blood Dragon? It looks a bit more interesting to me, but then if it's as short as most DLC is I'm not sure if I should just wait on it.

Read up on some other games like Blue Dragon, which is apparently by the same people who made Lost Odyssey, so it can't be that bad, so I may want to try it. Heard some mixed stuff on another game called Infinite Undiscovery.

You don't need Far Cry 3 to play Blood Dragon. It's a separate downloadable game with absolutely no connection other than gameplay mechanics & game engine. It's a little on the short side if you only do the main story, but still pretty meaty for an XBLA game.

As for Infinite Undiscovery, I'm enjoying it. I have to get back to it at some point, I keep getting distracted by other games piling up ( currently have roughly 50 games going, some of which have yet to be started for various reasons ). Do you have Gamefly? If not, I highly recommend it. I pay about $23 a month for 2 games out at a time. You keep them as long as you want & return them when you're done...you can even click on a keep button on your queue if you like the game enough that you want to own it AND it's cheaper than retail ( especially after you've been a member for a while as you get up to a 10% discount and a recurring $5 off coupon ). It'll save money and allow to to play pretty much everything ( if it requires a peripheral you probably can't rent it ex: Skylanders & DJ Hero ) without ever feeling like you wasted money on something you find was too short and/or has no replay value.

Unfortunately I don't think I'd be able to afford Gamefly every month, but maybe that's something to look into if I am ever able to get a job or some kind of regular income. Probably would save a lot of money that way considering there are so many games I want to try out.

Anyway, I went and traded stuff in. Got $30 for MGR and $9 for both this old 360 60gb hard drive I no longer used as well as one of those hard drive transfer cables that I only used to transfer all of my stuff to this new 120gb hard drive a friend got for me. So yeah, I had $39 or so to work with. Was hard to make the most of my money. Found Blue Dragon just fine, but couldn't find Infinite Undiscovery. I went with Dark Souls instead though it was a bit of a tough decision. Coulda bought Far Cry 3 but I would have had to give up one of those, so yeah. Almost got Assassin's Creed by accident, having a brain fart and thinking it was the third one because the pre-owned sticker covered up the right side of the title. Good thing I caught onto that. Finally after much searching I found a game I'd entirely forgotten about: EDF: Insect Armageddon. Perhaps not worth the $9 but after having had so much fun with 2017, I have to try it at least once.

I've played it. It's a fun game, but it goes from extremely easy to extremely difficult very quickly, so I couldn't finish it.

Damn, those Virtual Console games seem fun. I've played quite a few of those you listed, OP.

Infinite Undiscovery was one that I found all too easy to put down and not too easy to pick back up. Parts of the story flow nicely, and then you get into a quandary because of not knowing if you have the right character in place or not knowing if you crafted an item that you should have saved for later ... and it's stressful. There is strategy to the management aspect of the game, but you don't have any choice about leaving the story for a long time to go fix this or that.
