O.O yeh, that minecraft thing happens in pretty much all multiplayer sandbox games O.O better played on servers hosted between friends or those you trust...in which case can often mean singleplayer mode... Q.Q (jokes, i play the game rarely now and if i do, CUSTOM MOD PACK! xD)

Aye, this is why I never play in the basic mode online.

I play very frequently, and there's basically three things I can choose from:

1. Single-player Vanilla

2. Single-player Mod-world (currently no mods are ready for 1.7 though, so this is 1.6 or 1.5 for everyone now)

3. Online mini-game servers

I never do Survival online. It just seems.... futile. The derp WILL happen sooner or later. And if I wanna go online.... the "mini-games" defniitely suffice. Stuff like Hunger/Survival Games, Super Craft Bros., Egg Spleef..... there's TONS of these and lots of good servers for them.

So I at least have a huge variety of things to do in the game.

Now if only some damn fixes would come out for 1.7! Argh! That update cuts my view distance in half because of a nasty glitch.... and I cant just use Optifine to bypass it, because that and every other mod ever simply isnt ready for 1.7, as MCP hasnt finished updating yet. Currently I"m mostly playing my mod-world, which at least is providing lots to do and lots of challenge.

It seems I miss a lot, because of me only having played on a server with close friends yet.

I'm an sort of an "anti-fan" of Minecraft, because I play quite a bit, yet I hate it because of how bare-bones the mechanics are and how damn lazy Notch and Mojang as a whole are sometimes. The only positive things I can say is that people like me, people who aren't super creative in Minecraft and don't really mind the repetitiveness of survival as long as they have a goal, can certainly get a decent bit of enjoyment from playing the game with good friends on a private server, especially with modpacks or right after a major update. Mini-game servers may be fun, too, but you kind of have to be a person that doesn't have much experience playing mini-games in games that can actually properly support them like Starcraft 2 or Warcraft 3, or even Halo custom games.

About the original post: that video is so incredibly true; basically every single, poorly managed survival server in a nutshell. And, by the way, Jaltoid, the creator of it, has a really awesome Youtube channel. It's run-of-the-mill "Internet humor" animations that make fun of video games and internet/nerd culture.
