Their CD-i sucked and every game on it also sucked. Philips wants revenge. They patented something on the Wii U too? For F**** sake give Nintendo a f***ing break! This is criminal to sue a company like Nintendo so much. There has to be a line. There is no possible way that all these nobody companies patented so much stuff found on the Wii U.
So let me get this straight: Nintendo is struggling with sales, Nintendo is vulnerable, companies take advantage, lawsuits from many different companies, more lawsuits, drive Nintendo into desparation, and Nintendo goes down like THQ.
What's next? Is everyone and their grandmother is going to sue Nintendo? I can see it now all the idiots lining up saying "Yer stoopid weemote broke mah Teevee and killed mah dawg!"
Are developers going to sue Nintendo for infringing game ideas next?
Do these companies really want the big N to fall?
If the big N does fall, will this shake up the entire industry?

Where is the sanity?
I...can actually feel Nintendo's pain.

I'm pretty sure Philips have copied stuff from other corporations as well.

I JUST bought a Wii U for the games to be released at the end of the year. Am I allowed to sue Philips for blocking my rights to gaming on my own system? >.<

I don't know much about this, but I have a lot of doubts that Philips will be able to do much.

The Wii U isn't doing as well as I would like. But I don't think this will do much to it. And Nintendo is definitely not going to stop selling the Wii U when they have Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. and lots of other games coming out for it. Which should at least make the Wii U sell a little bit better.

I'm sure that Nintendo will be fine. I certainly hope so.
It seems like to me that the bad sales of the Wii U made Nintendo lose more money than this sort of thing would. It seems like this sort of patent silliness and suing happens all the time.
