Potential DLC ideas for new Smash Bros

I know, Sakurai hasn't said anything 100% about whether or not we'll get any DLC beyond Mewtwo...but it's still fun to brainstorm ideas and see what people want. I only ask that any posts be REALISTIC, follow the "rules" Sakurai has stated: no characters who didn't originate from video games, no characters who've never been on a Nintendo system, and no nonsensical characters ( IE Baby Mario, Goomba.... ). Also, try to keep to Nintendo owned content aside from the 3rd party content there already. A few non Nintendo ideas are fine, I'm just sick of seeing people requesting every last Sonic character as new fighters...

My wanted DLC fighters:

Krystal ( Star Fox )- she could use her staff and her specials could be based of Star Fox Adventures. A unique fighter!

Chibi-Robo - has interesting move potential, plus as much as I hated it Pichu's gimmick of injuring itself could be used to represent Chibi-Robo losing battery power ( I'd prefer the infinite battery but that's me )

Lucas, Wolf and Ice Climbers - I just want them back....and screw the 3DS version, I only really care about DLC on Wii U and I want Nana & Popo back!! !!

King K Rool - a great villain, highly requested and with great move potential

Isaac, Felix or Matthew - Golden Sun NEEDS a fighter! Isaac is most popular choice, but Matthew could be used to promote the sorely needed and better be in development 4th game

Bayonetta - Bayonetta 2 would never have happened without Nintendo, and she's highly requested. She would obviously have to be toned down though....

Spider Temple ( Odama ) - seriously. 2 major hazards to worry about: the Odama, and the boss of the stage....
Hanenbow ( Electroplankton ) from Brawl
a Rhythm Heaven stage
Mushroom Kingdom II/Subcon ( Super Mario Bros 2 )- one of my favorite Melee stages....and an excuse for some SMB2 songs

I would also gladly pay good money for more music & trophies, especially since I can't unlock all the ones in the game already. Listing the ones I want to see most would take too long

Get used to character parity, Sakurai is refusing to allow either version to have bigger roster.

Ice Climbers can stay gone for good, they were awful.
Bayonetta was considered, but passed over due to copyrights and getting the game an M rating or higher in each territory.

The 3DS version has data for DLC characters and a shop (it was leaked in late September from the Japanese version)
The 3DS version is set to become the best selling version of all time, if the current trajectory holds.
It should have blown passed 5.5 million now globaly (Brawl holds the title at 11.5 million after 4 years).

Sakurai needs to pull his head out of his butt Ice Climbers were fun & unique, and I'm not the only one who wants them back even if it means Sakurai being smart & just making them Wii U exclusive. A fan can dream right?

Love the idea of a Splatoon Inkling as a fighter, alongside a Splatoon themed stage Can't wait for that game!

Pokemon & Fire Emblem, as much as I love them have enough fighters already...though I'd LOVE Black Knight since we NEED more villains in Smash and he's awesome.

Xenoblade is my 2nd favorite game ever, right behind EarthBound, but idk if we need 5+reps for the series...maybe a character from X, but Shulk is fine alone IMO.

Question: why does everybody who doesn't suggest Ridley always default to another clone? SA-X or Dark Samus, it's still another clone....Sylux might be the best bet for a new Metroid rep.

Captain Toad could be interesting, but he'd have worse air game than Little Mac lol

Ridley is too damn big to fit into the game, as Sakurai has mentioned.
He is a huge dragon like creature.
Kraid also too huge to be added.

SA-X has more abilities than Samus, has the power to transform, and the power to absorb DNA from others.
Dark Samus has more abilties too and she can travel through space on her own.
If uses their abilities from their games, they wouldn't be clones.
Add Space Pirates too.

For Pokemon we need:
Chesnaught, Serperior, or Sceptile as the Grass Starter (We already have fire and water)
Aegislash (This is one of my favorite non legendary Pokemon)
Jirachi (I think he'd be cool addition)

Xenoblade should have more characters, because Shulk is not enough.
I would prefer Sharla and/or Riki be a full playable character


Wonderful 101 should have:
Wonder Red - final smash should be a giant red fist
Wonder Blue - final smash should be a giant blue sword
Wonder Green - final smash should be a giant green gun
Wonder Pink - final smash should be a giant pink whip

Others can just be alts.

They should also add some playable characters from Advance Wars and Battalion Wars..
I also want ZIP playable from FlingSmash.

I haven't played Super Smash bros since it went on the Wii but there's something I just thought of that I want to see Nintendo do.

I want Paper Mario to feature in some way. He could be another Mario variant like Dr. Mario. He could also be something Mario turns into when he obtains a certain item or he could be featured in Mario's final smash (unless the final smash was dropped after brawl).

There is a Sticker Star level.
There are also numerous trophies and soundtracks.

Mario still has the fireball wave as his final smash in the new games.

My ideal list of DLC characters would be something like

Travis Touchdown - No More Heroes
Bayonetta - Bayonetta 2
Solid Snake and/or Big Boss - Metal Gear Solid 2/3/4
Tom Nook - Animal Crossing

Most wouldn't happen, but it'd be neat.

I love Ridley, but I've always agreed with Sakurai on him being too big...

I wouldn't mind a grass type Pokemon, but I don't want half the roster exclusively being 4 or 5 franchises...I want more representation, not just more reps for franchises already there.

Sharla & Fiora were my favorite characters in Xenoblade, but I still don't think it needs more than Shulk & an X character...to each his own though...

Zip? Seriously? He ( and by extension, Pip ) is an Assist Trophy at best ( I would love a FlingSmash stage & some of the great music from the game though ).

a Wars character would be awesome...my pick would be my girl Sami

What is your fascination with clones? Slight tweaks and MAYBE a different move still wouldn't differentiate SA-X or Dark Samus enough plus most Smash players would just roll their eyes at yet another Samus. Hence Sylux or Rundas as a new Metroid rep. You have to think realistically as well as being creative. Clones are lazy....as for the Wonderful 101, my idea fits PERFECTLY. And for a Final Smash: Platinum Robo.

Not trying be be a jerk, just trying to understand why so many people just stick to a few series and fill their wanted fighters list with more from those series and occasionally 1 or 2 uniques...and so many nonsensical choices like Baby Mario, Chao, and Zip or more clones...or they just want more Sonic & Mario characters PERIOD. 3rd party reps are limited to 1 per company, Bayonetta would be an exception due to Nintendo publishing it and their collaboration with Platinum on Wonderful 101.
