Anyone like the game Dead Space?

I love the dark atmosphere of the game, scares the hell out of me at times. The random necromorphs that come out of nowhere adds to the already creepy game play. Anyone have this game as well?

One of the few games I enjoyed recently. Has a good atmosphere and it's kind of simple. I liked blasting the aliens with different weapons and upgrading lol

Yep I like it, I have actually been playing it recently. I have the intesting habit of loving the atmosphere in horor games, but actually being quite scared, especially with them jumping out on me. I really hate it that for some reason I get attacked and my hands instinctly push down on the joystick and thus have trouble responding quick enough as the guy decides to use the line thing or I have trouble spotting where it is coming from.

I also tend to be a horder with the amunition and saving money, at near the begining of chapter 7 and have heaps of extra amunitiont and spent money mostly on upgrading my only two weapons (the cutter and liner) and now suit health.

You see playing this game is my strategy at learning how to play survival horors better, I think I have had some improvement, plus the story is interesting. I hope to maybe play this another time without the need of reading what encounter is likely to hapen next.

I started playing it, but got distracted and haven't managed to get back to it yet.

I really like the atmosphere so far.

Love the first game. Gonna get the sequel as soon as all my various bills are all cleared out. Been an expensive freakin' month.

I really like dead space (am playing the second one right now), even if it relies mostly on jump scares it still has its moments.

Actually I missed one of the scares early on in the second game yesterday, I was looking at a bit of wall when I suddenly heard a violin shriek (usually signifying something scary going down) and was utterly confused as to what was supposed to have happened, apparently I wasn't looking in the right direction when it happened.

Dead space 2 is almost as good as the first I love how we know more about Issic. It is less of a do as your told type of game(plus even when you are ________and wearing a __________It is still a ___!)

The plot has a few holes and I die every time I am by a window but it is fun!

Has any one played the online one yet? how easy is it to kill a playermorphs?

Continueing my playthrough of the first one, the horor was really starting to stack up though. I got on a roll and up to chapter 10, but then they started to have the "Twinkle twinkle" song as background music and I had to stop, that song is freaky enough to breaki through my final threshhold, actually that song is a good example of my thoughts, I both hate and love it.

Since I decided to listen to the song on Youtube, and then also the scond games version, that is even creepier, I don't think I will be playing that any time soon. I need to play something where my enemies fear me instead.

I've only played the Wii one. It's not bad, but there's far too much talk and not enough action.

And the devs probably could've made it a bit less obvious how much they loved DOOM 3

Doom 3? maybe a little, but at least you could aim a weapon and have your flashlight on at the same time.

If anything the game is heavily inspired by Event Horizon.

I liked the first one, though it wasn't really all that scary to me (not much is, really). I should go back and replay it again before moving on to Dead Space 2.
