I've never played either game, but I sincerely want to. :) Could I play Okamiden without playing Okami?

Okami is a wonderfully stylistic game. It's fine to play the sequel without playing the first one but I highly recommend playing the first one, the art is just breathtaking!

I've seen it for sale a few times, but I don't know if I would like it or not. I guess it's supposed to play a lot like Zelda...

I think I'll try to buy both sometime.

Anyone interested in Okami can pick up the HD version on PS3. Just an FYI.

I did some googling and found that Okami is also available on the Wii.

Yes and honestly the Wii version works better in my opinion with the motion controls for the brush strokes.

^Thanks! I wonder if I can find a double pack with both games in it so I don't have to buy them separately. The trouble is that I might not get around to playing them, *cough Xenoblade Chronicles still down in the basement since last Christmas cough*

If we're all sharing our thoughts on Okami I'll throw in my experience.

I started Okami not knowing anything about it, in fact I was worried it would be a stinker due to the art style.

Well, after playing through it I was blown away by how beautiful and epic it was.

The characters are amazing and complex, The story has so many turns and takes you on an amazing journey. By the time I defeated the last boss I felt like I truly was a hero.

I think Okami has one of the best stories in the PS3 era, certainly one of the best in the action rpg genre. My only gripe when I finished it was I wanted more!

Sadly, I never got to play Okamiden. I wonder if there will be a sequel ok PS4. This game has a lot of potential to be a smash hit on current gen.

Okami is great, but its just too damn easy. I felt like I was the bad guy, eliminating all these supposedly evil spirits.

^The 'demons' are actually Yokai, mischievous and potentially benevolent or malevolent spirits.

Probably too strong and people would be crying for a nerf.

Amaterasu is bad ass in Marvel vs Capcom 3.
