My favorite video mascot is Mario from Nintendo....

Because he changed the face of the video game industry as the character alone rises the ashes like a phoenix and turn video games relevant again to the public. Even the children and adults that do not play video games know who Mario is.

Although Pac-Man made video games popluar during the early '80s, Mario literally saved video games from turing into another 8-track and pet rock meaning just another faded fad that never caught on in the long run.

Gotta be Mario. DK isn't really a mascot, just an additional character.

My favirout has to be the chief, that is the Master Chief or also called John 117 aka Spartin 117. He is such an interesting character even beyond the game and he always has the good one liners.

As a kid my favirout was Crash bandicoot, his games were great when I was young.

I would have voted for Master Chief but Mario comes second. I do agree though that the release of the first mario game is what saved the gaming industry. He is an appropriate icon for classic games.

My favorite is Mario; he definitely changed video games in a huge way. I grew up with "Nintendo" games so I love Mario games. I also love the other Mario characters, such as Yoshi, Luigi, the Shy Guys, Bowser, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Donkey Kong, Ganon, etc.
