Just wondering—what kind of games do you find yourself coming back to? The ones that really stick with you or help you switch off for a while.

Do you tend to lean more toward MMOs, single-player games, or multiplayer experiences?

Everyone has their own rhythm when it comes to gaming. Curious where others sit with it.

I enjoy FPS games specifically ones inspired by either Doom or Half-Life. I do not like Call of Duty or anything like it. I still have a very serious grudge against that series.

I also enjoy First Person Puzzle games where you're physically in the puzzle and you solve it on the spot to move on.

I enjoy point n click adventures especially if it involves some good comedy and/or good plot.

I enjoy horror games but not so much survival horror.

I enjoy GTA style sandbox games though I prefer the likes of Saints Row 3 & 4 and the Destroy All Humans! series of games.

I enjoy games that allow upgrading to make characters stronger like in RPGs. I'm a big fan of Borderlands games.

Anything beyond that, I enjoy games that are casually fun.

I think as you get older Gaming choices change for me Witcher and games like it including elder Scrolls Offer the *ok your presented with a choice here* Dialogue which affects the rest of the game, That said i just uninstalled TESO i can't play it anymore ill Be Dropping off of another MMO soon because it just doesn't offer the same experience it used to. I enjoy thinks Like Subnautica, Minecraft and Stardew Valley. I still play LOTRO, I used to play a lot of FPS back in the day before all this C0D fad started like Devastation and indeed Half Life.

I like rFactor and sim racing in general.

Since my interest was rekindled in hockey I've started appreciating doing things in meatspace more. Video games aren't as involving as real activities.

I'm mostly only played single-player games or some games that have two person co-op mode using the same system. I'm OCDish when playing games. I like playing games when I want & am able to play & like playing my way. I do not like feeling pressured to play games at certain times or doing or not doing things in a game because other players have different wants & playing styles. I'm not into open world games except when they follow a somewhat standard storyline. Having a few different things that could be done in any order is fine if the game gives me an idea of when they're available & what I'm supposed to do. Having to to constantly keep revisiting places to check & guess is a pain. Open world games like Grand Theft Auto are fun but I only ever played GTA 4(including both expansion packs for 4) & 5 in story mode. I also do not want to spend real money to get ahead in a game. Their only real cost should be getting the game & perhaps expansion packs.

I tend to play games that were originally made for older cartridge systems. I played Super Nintendo a lot as a kid & 64 a lot as a teen. I didn't really play games for newer systems till after I moved in with my girlfriend at 30 & started playing her Xbox 360 & One system as well as her PlayStation 2 games. My former supervisor gave me his PS2 when when he moved as well as some of his games but I didn't really play it till after I moved but I wasn't playing video-games much at all at that point.

I tend to like RPGs but also like some first-person shooters, arcade style games, & various side-scrollers. I play a bit of games on my desktop using an emulator. It's handy for RPGs like Final Fantasy because I can save my state during or right before battles if I'm trying to get a certain dropped item or steel or just want to save in case I might screw something up. Lots of those games also have various patches to correct bugs/glitches, enhance the graphics or music, or to add & change features in the game. It's also handy for playing games never released in America like Sailor Moon Another Story which was only released in Japan & has a couple fan made translation patches. I recently downloaded a psp emulator & started playing Final Fantasy IV Complete. It's some of what I've been doing during WPs recent issues. I never had any hand-held game system partly due to me having some vision problems. I really liked playing Pokemon Yellow that way & I could enter the Blue & Red games by renaming my save files to catch the Pokemon in those games. I had to use a certain emulator that had a duel link feature on the same computer so I could trade Pokemon with myself to evolve certain ones or clone one I had to make a choice about which type I'd evolve it to but that emulator wasn't as good so I only used it to trade Pokemon :nerdy:
