Was talking about that this morning at work. One of my co-workers is from there. It's beyond absurd but there's plenty ignorant, absurd things down here....which is why I'm so big on education: because it's desperately needed for these jackasses.

I personally think marriage in general is a stupid concept, but if heteros have the right to be dumb and get married I think homos should have the same right. BTW, I've always wanted to go to Washington state and the northwest to get a glimpse of sasquatch and try out some of the fly agaric mushrooms which don't grow here in central florida.

Besides marriage being about religious stuff and financial stuff, I think some couples look at the ceremony itself as symbolic.

Like they want a sense of closure the kind of closure you see when people go to someone's funeral and celebrate their death..... :?

That is so pathetic it makes me want to laugh, cry, and barf all at the same. I thought we were in the year 2009. My ex is a biracial girl. Not all black people are "ghetto ass thugs" the same way not all whites are "dumb rednecks". What is the big deal about who loves who? Especially with how rare true love really is in this world.

Separate but equal, right? That's why gays should have "civl unions" and straights should have "marriages." They'll be legally equal, but distinct. :roll:
