Why is America giving money to ANYONE when America itself is falling apart?
What if Ireland said "There are people in America who we SUSPECT of supporting the IRA so we will send cruise missiles into Boston to blow up their houses"?
What if China said "We need a military base in Europe"? Really? Why?
STOP AND THINK!
America and Israel are the ONLY countries who routinely bomb other peoples countries and no one complains. Israel blew up Iraq's nuclear power plant. Just a couple of years ago they blew up a site in Syria which they "suspected" of being a nuclear site.
They bombed the crud out of Lebanon for years.
Yet no one really complained? Gee, how odd.
America is putting missile bases in countries all around Russia.
What if Russia bombed the crap out of them all tomorrow?
Would people say "Fair enough. Russia is only protecting itself against a possible future threat"?
1) There were and are people in America supporting the IRA and its ilk in their terrorist activities. Not one of the greatest things to do with a supposed ally. Maybe if the US had been so fervently anti-terror back then, the Troubles wouldn't have been so troublesome?
2) It is an American interest that Iraq and Syria be limited in their nuclear abilities. It could be said it is in the worlds interests as well. Of course they support nations that are reducing that threat. Syria already supply Hamas with weapons. Why would they hold back supplying a nuke, if they had one? Would Hamas for even a moment resist the use of a nuclear weapon if they had access to one? After all, if you turn Israel into a radioactive dust-bowl it all becomes a little academic. Eventually public opinion would soften, and the area of Israel would be freed up for whoever wanted it (after a cooling off period.) For the same reason that Hamas operate behind a civilian screen, they would most likely be protected from Nuclear retaliation. Paying close attention to who has the big boy toys is in everyone's best interests.
