the US, Northern Ireland, New Zealand and Australia were and are still in a way british colonies, so the people who, just like move to the UK, ARE british (americans (maybe canadians too), kiwis and aussies too).

i just discovered that 2% of the american population has red hair, something that's common to have in the UK and Ireland, it could be due to the mass immigration from those countries, they play an important part in the american genepool.

the US has around 310'000'000 inhabitants or so, that means that at least 6 million have red hair in the US, close to Scandinavia (Denmark, Sweden and Norway, who have 2-4%).

this means that a great amount of the US are descendants from Scandinavia (Norway especially), Britain and Ireland.

the American surnames are also, like Canadian, Kiwi and Australian ones, extremely similiar to British ones, like Morrison, England, Wales, Willis, Adams, Hutchinson, McCormick, Jameson, New York, New England, New Hampshire, Matt, James, Charlie, Charles, Mark, Liam etc.

since they're still british colonies, they're ARE british in a way, just like Norway who was, at one time, danish and swedish, with all the danish and swedish surnames etc.

This is all rather obvious and trivial isn't it?

Well duhhhh...

Places that were settled by the English do tend to be populated by people who look like they are descended from English settlers.

And bachelors do tend to be single.

And poor folks tend to not have money.

Does this astounding news have a point?
