There exist certain recurrent traits and characteristics of Jewish social behavior that systematically generate rejection by a wide variety of peoples in all of Europe. In such a case, ?Anti-Semitism? should be reclassified as an irrational, unwanted and improper defense mechanism. Theodor Herzl himself spelled it out in his foundational book explaining that Anti-Semitism ?exists wherever Jews live in perceptible numbers?.
... or people just reject "outsiders"? We see minorities persecuted time and again through history - why are the Jews the only ones to blame for their persecution?
This is true. The jews also resolutely refused to integrate into society since that would mean losing their identity. This is not a criticism at all. If I were one of a tiny aspergian diaspora forced to wander Europe in search of a suitable home I would not welcome absorption and the subsequent annhilation of the aspie identity. My asperger's is a strong part of my identity. I suspect that the Jews were given a similar ultimatum: Assimilate or be rejected. Add on top of that the fact that the Jews bore the scars of persecution over thousands of years and you start to see why they were and are loathe to jeopardise the lineage which theyve kept intact through pogroms and exile. Plus this guy ends his diatribe with a reference to the masons and Albert Pike
What is this?

Russia has historically been very anti-Jew. In fact, the infamous forgery The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion was written in Russia, around 1905, as a way to suggest to the Tsar that he might draw the peasants' anger away from the elite and toward the Jews. When Nicholas turned it down, it was printed in a leading anti-Jewish newspaper.
After the Revolt of Bar Kohkba around 140 AD, and the Jews' defeat (9/10 were killed), the remaining Jews settled well out of range of the Romans, along the Baltic Sea. At the time, the area was mainly home to scattered tribes who worshipped oak trees and wolves and stuff like that. The area was still forested and primitive. So, basically, as the tribes formed ethnic groups and became Christians, they already had a convenient enemy at hand. Christian missionaries taught the tribes that the Jews killed Jesus.
At the time, the tribes had no written languages, and Jews not only had such, they also had things called "books" that they were obsessed with studying. The tribes couldn't make sense of it. The Jews were unmistakably Other, and therefore the tribes hated them. Germania wasn't converted to Christianity until the 4th century AD, the Russians not until the Christian year 1000! Scandinavia had pockets of paganism until the 14th century. As late as 1920, Russia was 90% illiterate. The Jews had an obvious advantage, since Judaism has always been about education and success as a way to glorify Yahweh. The tribes reacted as you'd expect them to, and tried to wipe out the Jews. It wasn't until the 1930s that they had the tools to pull off a 100% extermination.
Also, I should note that Jewish scholars such as Dennis Prager who have studied antisemitism in depth (his book Why The Jews is required reading on the subject) believe that Europeans never really liked the idea of a single God. The way conversions worked in the old days, the king and his court would convert, then simply order the peasants to worship the new religion, under pain of death. So basically the tribes went from oak trees and wolves to Yahweh in one fell swoop. Unable to attack their kings, they instead blamed the Jews. Shooting the messenger. At least in America, one can worship oak trees or wolves to one's heart's content. Nevertheless, Jew hate survives even here, and is increasing as we import zillions of people from the third world. In addition, Obama is the most anti-Jewish president we've ever had. The Jews are increasingly finding themselves boxed in to a small sliver of land along the Mediterranean, surrounded by a human race that wants them exterminated.
I just read that. Ashkenaz Jews are NOT descended from the Khazars. They do in fact have a genetic relation to ancient Jewry. As for the story about Jews displacing Arabs, Alan Dershowitz rebuts this convincingly in his book The Case For Israel. Palestine in 1880 held a grab bag of nationalities, at least in the cities, while the countryside was populated by nomadic Arabs. The weird thing is, no matter where Jews settled in Palestine, they immediately met resistance from Arabs, who suddenly started demanding "their land" back. Land that was owned in absentia by slumlords in Beirut and Damascus, who were happy to sell to Jews as a way of ridding themselves of land that they couldn't do anything with. The Jews drained swamps and planted crops and towns; only to be surrounded at every turn with claims they were "stealing Arab land". This reminds me of Mexicans wanting the US Southwest back, despite the fact that the area in question was mostly American Indian and a smattering of whites before the California Gold Rush.
How is Obama the most anti-Jewish president? That's a ridiculous thing to say, the people that push that narrative are extremist neoconservatives and weirdo Evangelicals.
Crying out antisemitism is kind of like crying wolf now, it's wailed whenever anyone says a word contrary to Israel or doesn't fall in line with whatever they're doing or do exactly what they want. I can't help to laugh at anyone saying Obama is an antisemite, why? Because he didn't start a bunch of new wars for Israel? Because he only halfheartedly supported Israels bomb campaign against the people of Gaza? How dare he want a ceasefire to let in humanitarian aid!

If Obama is an Antisemite, then he's a pretty ineffectual one, as he's included plenty of Jews in his administration, and got more than enough Jewish support when he ran both times.
As for Jews resisting assimilation - in fact, most Jews in Germany prior to the Holocaust had thought of themselves solely as Germans of the Jewish faith, if they thought of themselves as Jewish at all. When eastern European Jews came to Germany as an unassimilated element, German Jews often were just as critical of them as were their Gentile neighbors.

I am so tempted to say something disparaging and berating but I have been warned by Tallyman not to insult those who utter drivel and BS. So I'll simply refute you civically. Obama donates 3 billion dollars to the pirate state of Israel. 3 billion dollars a year to terrorists while my friends down in Detroit are poor and some even homeless. While America domestically has a s**t load of problems Obama is busy giving lucrative loans to an apartheid state for free, giving billion dollar weapons, investing 1.5 trillion dollars on a new fighter jet for israel (you heard me, f*****g 1.5 trillion dollars on a new jet to kill more palestinians) even though the disparity between the 2 sides is already greater than that between the Aztecs and Spanish, yet you have the galls to say Obama isn't doing enough to aid Israel in their quote on quote defense? I dare you to go to detroit and say out loud in front of the homeless about how Obama should expend more money to aid israel and watch how much bashing you'll get. To add insult to injury Obama has donated $621 million alone during this month's operation protective edge. And yet you have the audacity to say Obama should give more aid to Israel?? free Weapons, free loans, iron dome funding, a 1.5 trillion jet for free and yet you're still not satisfied?
I'm tired of Obama being Israel's b***h.

Cultural assimilation wasn't quite what I meant. Im referring to the process of actually watering down one's traditions and becoming totally inclusive. The Jews are also such a tiny minority that the orthodox and zionist elements in their number are what people unfortunately tend to remember and they are anything but inclusive. Anti Semitismis bullsh**t partly because it claims that there is this disease called "jewishness" that all jews seem to suffer from. There are Anti-Israeli Jews Anti-Zionist Jews reform jews Jews who marry outside the tribe and so on and so forth. In other words just like any other group they comprise a wide varietty of perspectives and opinions

Palestine's Muslim population in 1947 was around 1.2 million and they have willingly welcomed 700,000 jewish refugees, conflict started when you real Zionist movement's intentions were exposed.
From another thread:
Where are your evidences that Palestinians have came from Jordan, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi, all over the place? So the population of that land was zero at some point, and suddenly all these arabs came to populate it in a giant exodus?
The caliphates have only spread religion and enforced Arabic language (and it was a suppressing empire like all other empires) , but it's not like they have exterminated all Semitic populations and sent Arabs to replace them, Semitic indigenous people have already existed there and spoke languages based on similar linguistic structures of Arabic, which is why their languages had been easily merged with Arabic and formed what we call today "Arabic dialects" which are pretty different from one to another way more than American English to British English (total different set of vocabularies, structuring, grammar...etc) - it's not like the Canaanites of Canaan or Berbers and ancient Egyptians of north Africa have disappeared *puff* in the air and Desert Arabs landed in their place, it was simply a cultural assimilation. Today, Arabphones are called "Arabs", it became simply a linguistic identity. In Lebanon for example, only clans in beqaa are viewed to be direct descendants of Arab tribes (but probably genetically are as mixed as others today - no genetic study on them-, but still have distinct set of rules of and customs way different than other locals).
Many middle eastern are Francophone due to french colonialism, are they french today?
And that's why Iran and Turkey and all non-Semitic Muslim countries today don't speak Arabic, yes the caliphates did impose Islam on them and they did attempt to impose Arabic language too, that's why modern Farsi and recent turkish (before going latin) are written in Arabic scripts, but their language assimilation attempts have failed since these languages belong to totally different linguistic families. If you look at the muslim world map, you notice that only the historically Semitic-speakers speak Arabic today, Canaanites, Aramaic, Syriacs, Berbers *(their language was greatly influenced and shaped by Punic)...etc
And oh, the Bible states that Jews (Hebrews) were invaders of Canaan, because it's the promised land, and were not Canaanites at all (despite the evidences), and Israel was founded and acted on this premise
The problem with this explanation is that it is simply not true, as the documentary evidence show. What really happened was that the Zionist movement, from the beginning, looked forward to a practically complete dispossession of the indigenous Arab population so that Israel could be a wholly Jewish state, or as much as was possible. Land bought by the Jewish National Fund was held in the name of the Jewish people and could never be sold or even leased back to Arabs (a situation which continues to the present).
The Arab community, as it became increasingly aware of the Zionists? intentions, strenuously opposed further Jewish immigration and land buying because it posed a real and imminent danger to the very existence of Arab society in Palestine. Because of this opposition, the entire Zionist project never could have been realized without the military backing of the British. The vast majority of the population of Palestine, by the way, had been Arabic since the seventh century A.D. (Over 1200 years)
In short, Zionism was based on a faulty, colonialist world view that the rights of the indigenous inhabitants didn?t matter. The Arabs? opposition to Zionism wasn?t based on anti-Semitism but rather on a totally reasonable fear of the dispossession of their people.
One further point: being Jewish ourselves, the position we present here is critical of Zionism but is in no way anti-Semitic. We do not believe that the Jews acted worse than any other group might have acted in their situation. The Zionists (who were a distinct minority of the Jewish people until after WWII) had an understandable desire to establish a place where Jews could be masters of their own fate, given the bleak history of Jewish oppression. Especially as the danger to European Jewry crystalized in the late 1930?s and after, the actions of the Zionists were propelled by real desperation.
But so were the actions of the Arabs. The mythic ?land without people for a people without land? was already home to 700,000 Palestinians in 1919. This is the root of the problem, as we shall see.

I find it strange that antisemitism was still pretty strong in the USSR, since Marx was Jewish.

But Russia today is not communist anymore, and even when it was, most Russians only paid lip service to the communist party. Also, the roots of Antisemitism run very deep in Russia, and there had never been a national tragedy as the Holocaust in Germany to make the people wake up and reconsider their old beliefs.

Well, a large part of the Holocaust took place in what used to be Soviet territory, such as Ukraine and Poland. And the Soviet party even officially discriminated against Jews (and other minorities). They even forcefully deported them to some Oblast in the east, specifically for Jews.
I see a parrallel with historical Christianity too: their founder was Jewish (Jesus), but for centuries they persecuted Jews.
The Russia of today seems to suffer from a really hardcore nationalism where it's not a good place to be a minority.
The former Russian Empire also discriminated against Jews. They were forced to live "beyond the Pale", which was to the west of Russia: Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine. That is why there were so many Jews living there before the Nazis invaded.
(and somehow we messed up the quotes
)

While it is true that the Nazis had murdered Jews away from the eyes of their civilian population in places like Poland, Ukraine, and Russia, the official communist take was that the concentration camp inmates were Russian POW's, doubtlessly to keep popular sympathy from being extended to the Jews.

its even more strange that the USSR had a social class system, since it was supposed to be socialist.
