I think we should start a civil war in China and then join one side of the war. The reasons are numerous.

1) It would bring back the economy, spending money on a war brought us out of a depression, it would do the same now.

2) We need to eliminate the communist dictatorship that exists in China. It has major gross human rights violations. By eliminating the Chinese government we eliminate the only existing super power that seriously violates human rights.

3) We could reduce the national debt and the trade deficit. We would not need to pay China what we owe them. And we would not be purchasing goods them. Instead we would be manufacturing them in the United States.

4) China is destroying the environment. The amount of population is incrediablty destructive to the planet, and people living there, and soon the oceans and the even the world's ecosystem.

5) If helped Chinese people over throw their government, we would become allies, and help the Chinese people live in and experience a Democracy like the rest of the world's superpowers.

What do you think? Should we allow China to continue as it is? Or is now the time to overturn their government, before it is to late?

The USA. And they have committed huge inhumane violations. They have taken over countries. Denied people the right to vote, the right to freedom of speech, a fair trial, and even to practice their religion. Does that sound like a government we want to have in the 21st Century? Or do we believe in certain unalienable rights?

Of course we should - the resulting nuclear winter will do wonders to combat global warming.

Ahh! Another reason to add to the list. Although, you know China doesn't have the ability to get nuclear bombs over here, and the US wouldn't use them.

i agree, the usa has committed huge inhumane violations. the usa has taken over countries. the usa has denied people the right to vote, the right to freedom of speech, a fair trial, and even to practice their religion. does the usa government sound like a government we want to have in the 21st century?

i'm wondering if you are aware, that the usa has committed the same offenses, that you are accusing china of committing?

It is quite astounding that anyone over the age of 3 has the moral ineptitude to openly desire war to settle any difficult problem that might be settled by less violent means. The experiences of Viet Nam and currently Iraq where huge numbers of people have suffered horrible tortures and death for very little if any reason and no accomplishment whatsoever seems to have passed some people totally by. The world is undergoing great economic turmoil and violent changes without even contemplating the almost total catastrophe a huge, possibly atomic war might engender. If the USA wants to create a final blow that will probably destroy it completely then it will try to face off China with violence.
