Considering your LONG history of popping up every now and again and saying something both baseless and negative about either myself or the RBE without backing anything up then disappearing again, I'm now automatically sceptical about you.

However in the miraculous case that you have somehow found a way to put your bias aside, the following video gives a crash course.

The premise of that RBE thingy begs the question: why should anyone care about the world's condition after he or she is dead? Striving for optimality -presumes- one cares about the world several generations hence. But just suppose one cares only about his life and nothing beyond. The using the world and losing it makes just as much sense and is a lot less difficult. Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die!

No-one's being forced to care. However if you claim to care about people who happen to be younger than yourself, or if you happen to be a parent, or related to a human being much younger than you, then your apathy concerning the state of the world after YOUR death is tantamount to not caring about what kind of world that young person that you claim to care about will inherit.

The depressing thing about this very mentality, is that I am hearing it more and more from people who have chosen to become parents, or have become grandparents, and they claim to care so much about their children or grandchildren.

That is the only reason why we are still here. Coz people care.

Then that will be all that your life will amount to then. Enjoy it. And don't complain because you have your lot and you should enjoy it while you can. Instead of spending your time bitching and moaning about how things are, and trolling those who are actually trying to make a positive difference. Give it a rest then. If you don't care, then rest assured in your apathy and back out of the road of progress. Sit idly by on the sidelines not wanting to go anywhere but to only enjoy your last years doing nothing of positive value.

And make sure you don't have any kids, or if you have, maybe you should consider putting them down coz if you let them live that would mean that you would HAVE to care about the future, othwerwise you brought them into the world to either subject them to the result of your apathy concerning the future, or for no reason whatsoever.

I completely understand that it is FAR easier and FAR less strain upon your brain and everything else to simply not give a damn and let it alllllll go down the tubes. I understand that. And if that is your way of dealing with it, fine, go for it, enjoy it. Just stay down there in your pit of apathy and don't come out to try to bring others down with you who actually DO care.

But if there's one thing you should definately do, if you HONESTLY don't care about the future, then stay out of the way of those who DO care.

Really? What kind of magic? And how does the magic work? You also need to take into consideration this thread has become YET ANOTHER debate attempt at the hands of those who are perpetually asking questions about an RBE, because I posted here (Would you believe it, I didn't create this thread) and certain people took the opportunity to pounce on me.

I have tried to get the discussion on this thread BACK to the topic of the unabomber, as per the OP, but to no avail, people don't wanna talk about that anymore. They wanna grill me about an RBE.

Taking into consideration you are one of the most beligerent individuals on here making one of the most concerted efforts to dispute an RBE as opposed to actually developing an objective understanding of it, I would be thrilled to find out what "magic" it is you speak of. Is is Paul Daniels magic or David Copperfield Magic?

Neither Paul Daniels nor David Copperfield perform magic. They perform sleight-of-hand visual illusions. For an RBE to work it would require the sort of breaking-the-rules-of-physics magic that is only found in fiction. I don't think even the Harry Potter brand of magic would be strong enough since it is too localized. This would require magic on a global fictional scale, perhaps something from the ancient myths.

Is it me, or do you NEVER back up ANYTHING that you say and instead only spout ridiculous vaccuous statements?

WHAT "breaking-the-rules-of-physics magic that is only found in fiction."

I know this might be a bit painful for you to accept but I got a little news-flash for you: Harry Potter is FICTION.

First of all you would need to prove to me that magic ANY scale ACTUALLY EXISTS, then second, you need to prove that it is required for an RBE.

Can you back this up at all? Or are you gonna be a coward and DETRACT from the responsibility of saying something of substance and instead try and take things off in another direction YET AGAIN?

I'm going to keep this short just to hit on a couple things. I think communication is failing on more than half of the replies I'm getting and I'm doubting that rephrasing my thought, no matter how many times or ways I do it, will actually get them read back or answered.

The problem is there's a lot in life that you'll never be able to find a clean and tidy article on, you have to either research it yourself and synthesize your own opinion, otherwise you'll be completely in the dark without an ore or paddle. Part of the problem is that people seem to stake our and identify where reality is for the sheer sake of knowing which direction is 180 opposite - and they'll literally throw themselves at running as hard and fast as they can away from it, lots of people are enjoying their bubbles and don't want anything to 'kill their high'. Those same people often times have incendiary reactions to anything that they don't want to see.

It is difficult to communicate well through this medium, especially for long-winded people like us 2. lol

Cool. I was getting concerned from time to time, coz you only referred to it as "Zeitgeist".

Altering gender identifications would involve a HELL of a lot more than simply giving them a toy that would characteristically be played with by the opposite gender. For one thing I doubt that practise would do anything anyway. That in of itself isn't proof that genetics are more powerful than means we attempt to change them, it just means that giving a girl a truck to play with in the hope it would turn her into a boy or at least tomboy is just ridiculously futile. And why would anyone want to change the gender identifications of a child anyway? Let them learn of their own initiative who and what they are.

Exactly.

Therin lies the responsibility of independent, critical thought. No-one ever said it was easy.

Exactly. Therin lies the problem of the false ego. We have been TAUGHT to value our own opinions above empirical evidence and hense instead of feeling humbled by reality, we fight against it. Because we over time develop an emotionally vested interest in the current status quo.

This isn't so much of a problem, since we are emerging into an age of reason. People are more and more realising that they simply have to get over themselves and seek answers instead of thinking they already have the answers in the form of preconceived opinion that should be RESPECTED instead of shown for how false it is.

I think also - for whatever reason - inquiry is seen as a sign of weakness.

I am well aware that Harry Potter-esque and all other forms of magic are fiction. That is my point. What you are proposing is literally impossible without magical intervention. The very first form of magical intervention that would be needed would be to get the human race* to all simultaneously agree that this is a good idea. That in itself is such a stopping point that arguiing about the ins and outs of the details- like how 95% of all work could be automated- is pointless.

*The human race consists of far more than the people who argue on the internet (a facetious point, but it's getting lost here). It also consists of quite a few nations who would fight this by any means possible-including nuclear and bio- if it ever came anywhere near being a reality. You need only look at the news to see how much of a lost cause it would be to get all members of this planet to agree on a global form of government (since the technocrats who ran the machines would be a de-facto government). The only thing that is preventing RBE(or TZM) people from being on multiple watch/hit lists is the comical unfeasability of the plan. Thus it does not bear watching by those who watch such things, unlike plans for a worldwide caliphate or global communism or any of the other plans that are equally a bad idea but theoretically implementable.

Would I try to propose that someone would have to be a luciferian in order to work for the fed? No, of course not. Guess why? Coz I have seen no evidence that lucifer, actually exists. Don't you think it's a liiiiiittle bit ridiculous for you to claim that magic is needed when we both recognise magic doesn't even exist?

YOU would fight this because you have a skewed and negative view of what an RBE actually is, and instead prefer your stratified, scarcity infested world of debt, to a world where huamnity is actually free and provided for.

So you recognise that certain political and wealthy interests will fight the implementation of a system that PROVIDES for people at a high standard of living, and freeing people up. Doesn't that CLEARLY demonstrate to you how corrupt, elitist, stagnating, arrogant, power hungry and despotic the establishment powers of this world really are? That they would go as far as to declare WAR upon the plan to provide for humanity?

*Falls on the floor laughing* Yea, of course. Coz the news has the UNBIASED, FAIR & BALANCED, NON-CORRUPTED information to give, don't they? Dont, make me laugh my lungs out of my mouth.

It costs NOTHING to start thinking critically and want a better world. NOTHING.

Nope. Its coz they know that they can't hold on forever. And they know that they cannot infiltrate and streer a group that is leaderless, has its own momentum and holds dear the non-aggression principle. Therefore that is why the only thing they can do is try to lie about it in their mentions of it in the small-time media.

Maybe you want to make sure the rich elite stay in power forever and ever, and ever, but the rest of humanity really doesn't.

non-sequitor. The news does not need to be fair, unbiased, balanced, uncorrupted information in order to transmit the fact that people are fighting each other all over the world, frequently because they do not agree on what a government should be like.

False choice. Just because people want to get rid of their current leaders does not mean they want to replace it all with an RBE. Just because Libyans ousted Ghadafi (for one small example) does not mean that they would embrace this RBE plan. By the way, this "non-aggression principle" is one of the things that lots of people don't have. To quote you, please don't assume that everyone thinks like you. It's rather arrogant.

If you bother to read that thread then you will find that I have already exhaustively presented points which refute your claims. Howabout you try that for once?

Quote:
So it really would be a waste of my time.

And its a waste of my time also to repeat myself just for your benefit.

Quote:
I don't think everyone thinks like me. In fact that is part of my whole point. There isn't a unitary way of thinking. But RBE wouldn't work unless there was.

And your evidence for this is what?

Quote:
Why are you starting to get that impression?

Coz its human to question things and use this thing inside our skulls called a BRAIN.

Quote:
I would fight this because I don't want to live in a totalitarian world.

Guess what? I got a real bizarre news flash for you: You ALREADY live in a totalitarian world! I would LOVE to see your hard evidence taken from our official materials to prove that an RBE would be totalitarian.

Quote:
Other people would fight it for the same reason or for different reasons. Some wouldn't want to let go of the power they have.

Awwwwwwww, diddums. Too bad for the rich elite. The people have ALWAYS shown in solidarity that they can take the power back.

Quote:
Some want to hold onto the culture they have,
which would be threatened by this.

Not that an RBE is a system that would take any cultural heritage away from anyone, however, do you see anyone clinging onto medievil culture and fighting anything that will transition society away from that? No. You know why? Coz culture always changes.

Quote:
Some want a global caliphate. Some want a global democracy. And some want RBE, but not 6 billion.

6 billion don't have to want it. Nowhere in our material do we state that EVERYONE HAS to want it. In fact, we support anyone's freedom to live how they want.

non-sequitor. The news does not need to be fair, unbiased, balanced, uncorrupted information in order to transmit the fact that people are fighting each other all over the world, frequently because they do not agree on what a government should be like.

*stares incredulously at the screen*

You know, sometimes I don't know if you're simply misinformed, or whether you're actually being dense deliberately. You do know who OWNS the vast majority of the world's media? You think that due to their control of what gets broadcast and what doesn't they also have control over who the public sees in a better light and hense votes for? Come on, you can do better than that. Maybe you should look into the influence of a man named Rupert Murdoch.

Quote:
I know what I've read or seen in your posted youtube clips.

You mean what you have ASSUMED with your extreme bias in the very little that you have actually viewed. Because if you ACTUALLY took what I have posted as nothing more than information, then you wouldn't STILL think the ridiculous things that you still think.

Quote:
Things to read or watch really are the only thing to assess right now. There is no actual RBE to assess.

And because an RBE hasn't been implemented yet, does that automatically mean it's technocratic? THAT my friend, is a non-sequitor.

[quote
RBE stands for Resource Based Economy and TZM stands for The Zeitgeist Movement. RBE and TZM people (a word you clipped from my quote) refers to people who are proponents of those things. [/quote]

WOW! You have proven some knowledge of acronyms. I suppose that's the first step. And actually "TZM people" is not an established, or claimed moniker for those who advocate TZM.

Quote:
I am confident that people reading this will be able to figure out the context in which I am using the word "magic" and will not think to themselves, "that Janissy actually believes in magic and thinks it could make an RBE happen".

No, if they have more than 2 brain cells to rub together they will think that you know next to nothing about the proposals of an RBE, hense why you are strangely proud of being repeatedly wrong about it.

Quote:
False choice. Just because people want to get rid of their current leaders does not mean they want to replace it all with an RBE.

Sorry, the RBE is not the replacement of anything. It is merely the next logical shift in social evolution. Otherwise known as the "Type 1 Civilisation".

Quote:
Just because Libyans ousted Ghadafi (for one small example) does not mean that they would embrace this RBE plan.

Actually, I would rethink your stance on Libya if I were you. Methinks you have swallowed too much of the mainstream phallus and drank too much of its indoctrination fluid. lol

Quote:
By the way, this "non-aggression principle" is one of the things that lots of people don't have. To quote you, please don't assume that everyone thinks like you. It's rather arrogant.

Since when does me stating that as the movement we embrace the non-aggression principle state that EVERYONE does as well? Yet another strawman on your part. You REALLY need to learn to listen. Either that or think before you type.

You know, I'm, really tiring of having to school you Janissy. You need to start learning that there's no point in trying to disprove someone that is more informed in something that you are ignorant of. I really hate having to get short with you. Coz that isn't helping anyone. You know, instead of doing your absolutel best to quibble with me over the little details that you LOVE to get wrong and waste both of our time squabbling about your lack of understanding, maybe you should just give it a rest. I know that you're vested interest is to try to smear me and TZM, and you know it as well. So stop the futile attempts to try and one-up me all the time and move on to something else.
