You know you're a sniveling liberal when...

Nah. William F. Buckley's intellectualism was mere puffery. He was a racist bigot who told a liberal "Now listen, you queer... I'll sock you in your goddamn face, and you'll stay plastered." like a typical macho-posturing knuckle-dragging redneck turd.
Not just any queer. It was Gore Vidal who was a nasty obnoxious git. One look at Gore Vidal and you just wanted to stomp him into a mush.
I would say the same of Rush Limbaugh. Only one look makes me want to throw a giant lasso around the neck blubber, force feed two bottles of viagra, and castrate with an electric cattle prod.

As to the other, I have no use for the extreme right wing. I am inclined toward libertarian views, though I am not a libertarian. And I do not particularly like government. Governments are necessary evils. Which makes them evils.

There are obnoxious gits on all sides of the political spectrum. Frankly, I cannot bear listening to the Limbaugh thing. He is an imbecile, a blovating windbag and a purveyor of things of small value.
I am a talk show fan (or I was). Back in the day, my kind of talk show host was the late David Brudnoy who held forth on radio stations in the Boston market. He was a PhD historian, he taught at Boston University and he was one of the brightest to hold forth on the airways. Now THAT is a talk show host. And he was kind enough to have me on his program as a guest on a number of occasions.

Sounds like my kind of talk show host.

On top of that, Savage (who's a real Wiener) was one of those a**hole conservatives who attacked kids on the autistic spectrum, arguing their behavior has more to do with bad parenting than to any disorder.

I'd say Michael Savage is the worst. I can't stand his andropause fueled raving at all, it makes Bill O'Reilly look civilized. Cranky old annoying f*ckery at its finest.
I love it when he gets into feuds with his fellow right-wing lunatics. Especially given that we get to see country club conservative elitism, ethnic discrimination, and out-right low blows at an amusing height.

I do. I am not cursed with sentimentality outside my family. I prefer justice to mercy.
What to you are matters of "sentimentality" to others are matters of justice. I take a giant leak on the arbitrary distinction libertarians like to draw between negative and positive freedoms.

You're all for minorities and women yet you're rabidly in favour of banning Saturday night specials which are small enough for women and affordable enough for minorities.
Huh? not many restaurants run specials on Saturday, when more people are already eating out.
Where you are, do some restaurants offer smaller portions (for women) at a reduced price (for minorities) on Saturdays?
Few sniveling Liberals would really want to ban this.

Get a REAL gun....
This better?
Now THAT does my dick justice. I'm not a big Colt fan though, I'd go for a Beretta PX4 or a Smith and Wesson M&P 45.
The Desert Eagle is fun for blasting with at the shooting range or wherever but not very practical for concealed carry.
I love the Colt 1911 design (have two of 'em) but not so much as a carry peice although I have.

How do you know what distinctions I make? And how do you determine what is arbitrary?
I will start from basics. I have no a priori duties or obligations to strangers. The only constraints I recognize is not to initiate force upon anyone and not to use force except for self defense. That is the start. The only duties or obligations I recognize are contingent. I am obliged to care for the dependent children I bring into the world and I am obliged to carry out the terms of contracts into which I have entered willingly. I recognize no other duties. I pay my taxes because if I don't I will be put in jail or have my property seized. That is simply a recognition of being outgunned by the government.
I care about my children. I do not give a damn about yours. I do not expect you to give a damn about my children. They are my concern, not yours.
I recognize a basic distinction: What is mine is mine and what is yours is yours. There is no "ours".

Right wing in what fashion, considering right wingers want government to stay out of things and a limited government, I don't think you can equate dictators with the right (or the American Right Wing at least).
