Are the BNP that bad?
Most of the party foot-soldiers and the EDL are standard xenophobes. The BNP are much nastier once nastier once you look at them properly. If you read their website and look at the history of a lot of their membership, you soon realise this.
Whats nasty about shutting the doors? Isn't helping some racist Muslim nasty? You obviously know diddly squat about the EDL.
I said EDL were standard xenophobes. I called the BNP nasty. They're not the same thing although they are related.
EDIT: also, no-one hates Islamism more than I do. I separate Islamism from Muslim immigrants, though. I'm pretty conservative about immigration but I'm not in favour of 'shutting the doors'. If you want a party that's anti-immigration per se, you support UKIP. BNP is for crazy racists and EDL has too many affiliation with such people to be credible.
I spoke to an EDL member, he said he has Muslim friends. They just want the extremists out, which is more than fair. They get lied about by the media, and their aim is to stay away from BNP rallies, even though some of the idiots go.

It is the case, more or less, for every member state of the EU. Britain has gradually ceded its sovereignty to the EU, in stages, since 1973. It has only really become noticeable, though, in the last 10-15 years.
You have a system where the prime minister and government in this country pretend to be sovereign nations, capable of setting their own rules, but often cannot (as they're overruled by EU law). As well as that you also have a problem that British people are terrible rule-followers. While the French simply shrug and ignore a new EU law that it doesn't like, the British follow it to the letter even when it is very much against the country's interests to do so (the Common Fisheries Policy is one of them in that the EU has killed off our fishing industry - the Icelanders must be thanking their lucky stars that they don't have this - hell, they still haven't got over beating us in the 1970s!).
It's an insane system. I could go on forever about it. The EU is autocratic, anti-democratic, hideously expensive, and hugely corrupt.
And then there is the nakedly anti-democratic nature of the EU's elite. They'll give you referendums, but if you give them the 'wrong' answer back they'll make you vote again until you give them the 'right' one.
European ReUnion topic
I was doing some research into the history/philosophy of the European Union, and a wise idea is to look into some of the problems with institutionalization of politics. Some of the links redirected me to a scholarly researcher named John McCormick who has studied Europeanism, analyzing just what it is that makes Europeans tick, that is their values, wants, and needs to make this area of the world a better place. So far I have not found whether these findings have been considered/implemented by your European Parliament, but this may have been a better study to implement before developing a federation of diverse nations. However, better late than never.
Instead of a locked focus on the negatives, rediscover the positives and work with them instead of retreating into a nationalist backlash, typified by maladaptive political movements such as BNP.

Well the EU have a peaceful intention of European unity tho the idea is not an new one its been around since Charlemagne. Most of the pre 1945 European unity plans have involved military action.
Lol. I'm just being silly, get your facts straight. And you called me a f***ing idiot, so how would that be seen?
Accurately
Hehehe, that wasn't bad for you.
No more than you deserve after the mental gymnastics you seem to like pulling off
As I said to satresue earlier I am open to moving on from this if you'll stop trying to provoke me and insult me. I've been civil with you and it hasn't really seemed worthwhile, but I am not one to hold a grudge. I'm not even mad at you, I just don't beat around the bush with people that feel the need to f**k with me because they disagree

The problem is that the peoples of Europe increasingly don't want this political union that is being forced upon them - they want their independence and national democracies back.

I think you're overestimating how much I care. I see it as you still having arse ache about the pot thread, cause I didn't agree with you. Thats why you've followed me around in threads a few times, trying to take shots, and putting one of my threads in the mod thread to be moved. I don't take this whole online thing as seriously as I used to, so i'm not interested in "f*****g with you". Maybe if you just took me as though i'm messing around, and half joking all the time when I post, cause mostly I am. Using quotes and jokes, and seeing if anyone gets it, or knows what i'm quoting from. Most of the time people are taking it all literally, which can be hillarious or kind of annoying.

You're actually the one who keeps bringing up the pot thread, I could care less. You keep bringing it up, I keep telling you I don't care. I don't follow you around threads, that is just ridiculous, you post a thread in the PPR that interests me, expect me to reply. Don't flatter yourself. Even that reply stinks of your piss-poor attitude. I commented on a really stupid thing you said in this thread, and you decided to launch into some tirade linking your views on 'racism' to mine on 'marijuana', which is a false equivalency that I'm still unsure you arrived at. I don't take you as messing around, because I don't think you are. You make statements, then when I question you on them, you answer with stupid videos or vague things like 'you know what I'm talking about'. Essentially, your entire line of discourse amounts to 'NO YOU ARE!'- you're a god damn man-child. You insult people, then immediately turn around and act like everyone is misunderstanding you. Just stop being a dick, and nobody will misunderstand you

Back on topic now...
The 'US of Europe' is a pretty old idea. I wonder if it is going to last? Assuming it breaks apart wouldn't there be some upheaval due to the dissolution of the Euro? I wonder if it is getting to be too expensive to just back out. In any case I'm all for self-determination of nations should they want to secede or whatnot

The problem is that the EU elites are fanatical about their project. Some countries on the periphery of the main EU territory (Portugal, Greece) are clearly unsuited to the eurozone and therefore should leave. However, the EU won't let them and will keep bailing them out and grabbing even further financial and political control over nations until there is no money left. It's a house of cards scenario. To add to that, there is huge protests in Portugal at the moment due to the EU/IMF's austerity measures. Similar protests have turned violent in Greece.
Reasons why the BNP are categorically a bad thing:
* One BNP candidate in the North of England who posted on his Facebook page a mock advert for the gas Zyklon B – used in the Nazi extermination chambers of the Second World War – captioned, "Try Zyklon B. It's a gas!"
* One candidate urges his followers to "Stamp out diseases today. Spray pakis and poofs with hydrochloric acid".
* An activist in Wales, who has a photograph of his endorsement by BNP leader Nick Griffin on his Facebook page. Underneath it reads: "My grandfather was killed in Auschwitz. Apparently he got pissed and fell out of the watchtower!"
The candidate also posted, "Just popped round to see my Muslim neighbour's new baby. She asked me if I wanted to wind it but that seemed a bit extreme so I gave it a dead leg instead."
* A woman, describing herself as a "a big supporter of the BNP leader Nick Griffin", responded to a protest by Muslims Against The Crusades by saying: "They should all be burned."
* Another candidate posting about his arrest for "an out of date bus ticket", says: "They [police] have just made me hate them even more. From now on I will be celebrating the death of serving police officers when they are announced on the news. May sound a bit extreme but I hate them that much." He also posted that Labour's newly elected MP for Barnsley Central, Dan Jarvis, a former officer in the Parachute Regiment, "should have been shot from behind while facing the enemy".
Add to this their use of an anti-immigration stance using a POLISH SQUADRON Spitfire as a "poster-boy", thus demonstrating their own sheer lack of knowledge about the history of the nation they are so "proud" of. Oh, and that dozy tart on "BNP Wives" who had her Union Flag UPSIDE DOWN.
How's that?

Germany as a big role it as well, there holding all the aces in the bailout card game. The big issue with is that there slow to play there hand to the countries that need the bailout pot. Germany's poker tactics are only to sever they only economic self-interests, which basiclly screwing the other players in the Eurozone's Texas Holdem.
