yes, there was a CCW guy who came running and helped to tackle the shooter... after he decided, logically (and in support of Dox's earlier statements) that it wasn't a good situation in which to have a shoot-out with multiple weapons. One of several heroes that day.
He came to that conclusion because the shooter was already on the ground, he didn't "help tackle him" he "helped hold him down"{snip youtube}
Ok. Doesn't really change my argument: his gun, and his status as a CCW permit holder, were pretty much irrelevant in that case.

Wait, do these magazines jam, or not? Is there some sort of magazine magic that makes them jam when the shooter's some insane guy mowing down civilians, but not when aimed at targets in a shooting range?
Extended handgun magazines jam *all the time*. I have a 20rd mag for one of my pistols that is borderline useless. But even then, at a shooting range I can take my time and deal with failures - in an actual situation, it's entirely different.

And didn't you just say, a couple of posts back, that switching magazines takes hardly any time at all?
Switching magazines doesn't take much time - reloading magazines once you've run out of loaded mags to switch to is what takes time. A lot of time.
Ok, if it's "borderline useless," why do you have one? Why are you opposed to limits? Why not just you, and everyone else, use multiple magazines, rather than extended magazines?

Fifth time: CCW permits for blind people, senile people and paranoid schizophrenics: yes, or no?
I already answered you, maybe you should actually go back and read my posts.
My apologies {eating crow}.
I didn't see that post of yours; I guess I was in too much of a hurry. Correct me if I'm wrong: you're basically saying that people shouldn't have their weapons taken away, unless they have demonstrated that they are a danger to themselves or others?
If that's an accurate interpretation, doesn't that kind of invalidate, for example, the claim that CCW permit holders are better trained, and better shots, than the police? If you can't see a target to qualify on, it sort of suggests that your aim isn't going to be all that great when you're freaked out thinking that someone is trying to kill you... I sure wouldn't be blasting away at every sound on a moonless night, and I'm neither blind nor insane.
@Raptor: 'wider appeal' still doesn't = 'addictive.'
