Did anybody ever consider that George Lucas was an American.

I suppose it's wrong for you to disagree with anything the British government do because you are speaking english right now. I guess your not allowed to agree with the allies actions in WW2 if you own a playstation. Wait a minute, a guy my dad gets a lot of work of a guy from Iran. He must support the Iranian nuclear aquirement.

BTW I liked the first three star war films as a kid but havent seen the new ones as they look a bit childish for my tastes so i could live with or without George Lucas.

I actually like the avatar but i have got bored and i will change it to please you. Rottweilers are German so i should be alright until a nazi comes on the site.

I was 25 in december so it was on the television when i remember seeing star wars, around christmas i think (And nearly every christmas after that).

i have a soft spot in my heart for the rott.

Ive had two of them in my day. They are my favourite type of dogs, along with German Shephards.

I don't like to show emotion but i cannot help but feel, each time i think of her.

In general, i think many, if not most humans either are, or just act stupid. Even smart people often do dumb things. So Bush does not hold exclusivity on that.

All this bickering proves is that the humans are bound to doom themselves, from either stupidity, racism, wars, or lack of environmental dangers (not all of which are caused by humans, and NO the U.S. is not the worst offender of every environmental problem, China produces the most polution, Russia has the worst nuclear care record and environmental effects. The U.S. probably leads in AirWave polution though.) No one nation is neccessarily right in how to resolve power and polution concerns, until something better, cheaper, and more effecient comes along. SB2, i agree, Affirmative Action and all such racist and sexist measures, are in fact, just as racist and sexist as the problems they were designed to solve. Funny, how a moronic politician, probably thought of that "Brilliant" idea...NOT!! ! I like the words of Gallagher "you know why the hubble is not pointed at Earth, its searching for 'Intelligent Life'!"

I just wonder why politicians try to solve problems with the most mindbeffudling lamebrain ideas on the planet. Aren't most of these guys, SUPPOSED to be like Educated?? I wonder how many, like cheated to get their degrees or out right bought them. I heard a joke on the radio a short while ago, that mentioned the large number of corrupt, convicts, under investigation, employees this place on the East coast has. It was startling high numbers, something like 60 or 70% had minor offences or bribery or some such event in there past, over all a frightenlingly high number, would be unemployabe by any half way decent responsible business, yet this is our Congress, and it dont split along party lines either

The US is by far the biggest polluter, though China is catching up. It's just funny to see a supposedly democratic nation from the "civilised" world being so stubborn about pollution. When you need to start comparing your country to a dictatorship you are in trouble.

In Capitolism the demands of the market are what matters to the bottom line.

Once fossil fuel becomes even more costly, the market will shift to a much more cost effective means to operating industry.

Like Nuclear energy for example.

Your right about it being a long-term shift that's needed and oil will probably run out within 50 years but id like to see the US joining most other nations in the cutting of carbon emmisions.

They seem reluctant to sign up to other international standards that other democratic nations have as well like human rights (torturing captives outside US borders to save even US law being applied) and an international court, far deciding to be judge and jury themselves.

Lets not forget that they used Iraq's reluctance to comply with the UN to go to war with them but dont think they should have to apply to any international standards or keep within international law.

Whats good for big business is ok

but lets shift the burden to the consumer.

In California we have the toughest emmission laws in the country for emmission for autos. and thats going on 2 decades now. But we allow them to sell the Hummer.

Also, i once had this tiny Honda Civic Hatchback 1983. n i swear i got between 42-45 miles per gallon. But it didn't pass the smog check by a hair. In order to fix the problem i would have had to spend twice what the car was worth. They got their wish, a gross polluter off the street. now i drive a truck that gives me 12 miles to the gallon.

6 of one half dozen of the other.

Guaranteed i am polluting way more now. But it costs me much more money to operate my vehicle.
Advantage; industry.
