I've culled a few extra things I like out of the thread so far, I think they fit the PPR ethos in more of a motto or a mission statement sort of way than as part of the guidelines, but I think they're helpful and am trying to think of a way to integrate them into this general concept. They are:

"Evidence Please?"

"That would make a good discussion"

And perhaps a statement "banishing" political correctness from the board.

I added that last one myself, which I think is sort of redundant but still necessary given the continued friction from some newer posters over the degree of freedom we exercise in here in pursuing any and all interesting topics, no matter how potentially offensive.

I'm very pleased with how this is coming so far, we're hearing a lot of different opinions with a definite consensus starting to show up regarding priorities, I'll be starting in on some draft versions soon. Like I said in the OP, anyone who'd like to should feel free to contribute their own version or suggestions, I really don't care if this thing has my name on it or what so long as it turns out well.

We prefer new racist crap, honestly. Actually, if we could just replace PPR with Uncle Ruckus and the racial humor of Dave Chapelle, then that'd be just fine.

Chappelle quit his show because he thought it was too racist and it was weighing down on his psyche.

Uncle Ruckus is supposed to be an ad absurdum parody of the conservative right and some of its more implied racist beliefs and comments. Basically, Ruckus is Rush Limbaugh if Rush were to speak more freely of his beliefs.

It also occurs to me that we should perhaps clarify when calling in the mods is indeed appropriate. Off the top of my head I'm thinking:

Spammer in the forum
Physical threats being made
Repeated personal attacks within a short period of time

Those are the three that occur to me as unambiguous issues that a mod may be needed to resolve, other situations, like one member engaging in a harassment campaign against another, are much trickier to call and are much more subject to interpretation. If anyone else can think of any situations that demand moderation, please contribute them, as I think this is an important component for this project.

He seemed to be mocking the 'hate-speech and muslims' issue with this.

There are two main things to consider for rules in PPR. Firstly, this website is financed by advertisements primarily, so anything that would be considered a "bad association" to go along with the advertisements of a given corporation is automatically to be regarded as censored. Secondly, anything which whiny people whine to the moderators about is bound to get negative attention since the moderators dislike whining.

Sure, LEGALLY they are. But when you consider that what they've done in the name of religion, and our government DOES protect freedom of religion, murder is only an expression of religion and MUST be legalized. Absolutely. Keep in mind it was once LEGAL to keep slaves until civil rights freedom fighters fought for and won their freedom. This is no different. What we have here is an anti-religion/anti-murder bias. Charles Manson was right. He is an example to us all, and it is divine providence he was not put to death. Susan Atkins died a martyr.

I'm sick and tired of all this hate-speech against criminals. Hyperlexian, where are you? Come on! Back me up on this! I am being personally attacked, here!! !
