If that were the case, manipulating people would not be possible....And it clearly is. However, if that's what you WANT to believe, then *more power to you*(sarcasm).

Don't confuse your misinterpretations with that I actually mean. I don't mean people are so irreductibly complex that they're impossible to exploit, I mean that human nature is so irreductibly complex that we can't make sense out of it from a purely reductive approach like we can with say physics.

Do you have any actual proof of this? Complexity isn't just qualitative, it has a quantitative basis. Humans obey the law of large numbers: When people are in groups, their behavior becomes highly reducible. I'd like to see some scientific evidence as to why people are irreducibly complex. Most arguments in favor of this are based on intuition. People are made of of stuff(matter & energy). Brains make minds. The brain is complex, but irreducibility requires non-determinism which appears to be absent except at the quantum level.

Not true. Quantum mechanics is a model of reality. It is not reality itself. It describes the behavior of matter and energy at the molecular, atomic, and subatomic levels as well as at extremely high and low(below 10 kelvins) temperatures.

There is no experimental evidence that superposition and the observer effect occur at the *classical* level.

it is true that quantum mechanics is a model of reality, but so is the classical physics,

we know atoms form the constituent parts of classical matter and that they i turn are made of subatomic particles that obey QM, the models of the classical are built on the only now known QM principles that lie underneath so to speak.

what i meant by my first post wasnt what model is what, because in truth everything is a model to the human brain, nothing you see is even close to what your senses really experience, it is a composite mind model, made to further function and efficiency so we can deal with the massive amount of information presented to us.

Psychology is a social science. Observational studies do have limitations, but can yield useful results.
